Busy week for Glenford ponies

Our two special 128cm full Connemara mares did us proud in Millstreet. Glenford Abbey 1st in the 128cm section of the Pony Young Irelander and Glenford Tammy was 4th in a huge 128cm 90cm class at only five years. These girls had a mighty pilot on board with the brilliant Ben Hawkins. Their 138cm brother Glenford Burgo also qualified this week for the loose jumping in Clifden.

Finally Rincoola, our little pocket rocket Glenford Margie was grazing in the field a few weeks ago and looked like an old pro with Becky Scott jumping clear over a challenging course to come first and qualify for the RDS. Her sister Glenford Angie Babe learnt so much over the four weeks. Thanks to Duncan McFadyen and Becky Scott for all your hard work with our mares. Charlotte and I are getting the young ones ready for next year 😂😂

This week really encompassed the lows and highs of horses.

Glenford Lola our wonderful foundation black mare closed her eyes to this world at the start of the week at the age of 24. She was a character and introduced us to our love of loose jumping as she won the all Ireland 21 years ago, she bred ponies that are all over Europe and even two in the USA 🥰 it is heartbreaking to say goodbye but she must of been looking down on us on Saturday as her Grandson Glenford Yogi qualified for the RDS performance Connemara class from a field of 70 ponies. We just wanted to thank Becky and Duncan for all their dedication, we can’t thank you enough and Lola thanks for your legacy you are a true legend ❤️

Great couple of weeks with Glenford Angie Babe in the starter series in Clare Equestrian and then getting her Class one and Bronze Merit at the HSI draught inspections. She is such a good girl learning every day 🥰
