What an amazing achievement! We are so proud of every athlete who earned the honour of qualifying for and competing at the National Championships this weekend. 🐐❤️

Behind every performance is a year of dedication, commitment and resilience. Training 5+ days every week, through wet, dark evenings, battling 56 days of rain ☔️, they kept showing up—running, jumping and throwing when most would have stayed indoors.

Some arrived as Leinster Champions, while others were experiencing their very first National Championships. Every one of them earned their place among the very best in Ireland, with several finishing just centimetres or milliseconds away from a national medal. That in itself is something to be incredibly proud of. 👑

⭐️ Evan Carney – U17 Boys Long Jump – 5.28m

⭐️ Sheila Croal (Associate Member) – 4th Overall U15 Girls Hammer (42.94m) 🔥 & 5th U15 Shot Put (10.75m PB) 💥

⭐️ Kate Crampton (Associate Member) – 🥉 Bronze Medal – U14 Girls Hammer – 29.22m 🥳

⭐️ Jack Moran – U19 Boys 3000m – 9:32.65 & 800m – 3rd fastest heat to automatically qualify for the final, finishing 6th Overall 🏃‍♂️⏳

No matter where they finished, every one of these athletes represented Fr Murphy’s AC with determination, courage and pride. Your club is incredibly proud of you all. ❤️🖤

🥉U16 Daire Beacroft once again proved his talent where he stormed 3rd over the finish line in 2.05.43 in the 800m after an auto q sub 2.05 saw him make the final out of a talented group of U16 boys 👏🏻🤯
Well done to Daire on his performance!

🥉U17 5kg Hammer thrower Aodhan Doyle was absolutely on point with his throws and secured 🥉in his 3rd round with a throw of 40.71 👏🏻 nice to see him back on the podium this year with his 3rd national medal.

🥉U19 boys 6kg Hammer -Nick Keogh won his 3rd consecutive national medal- this time a 🥉after 2 PBs in an impressive field of strong men throwing 40.33m
With the leaving cert done , this is Nicks final year at juvenile competition making great progress in his strength training 🏋🏼‍♂️ Lots more to come yet!

🏆 Two All-Ireland National Champions crowned today in Tullamore!

🥇 Áine Ward– U13 Girls Shot Put
11.16m– All-Ireland Champion

🥇 Daire Beacroft– U16 Boys 3,000m

Both Áine and Daire are back tomorrow, with Áine competing in the hurdles and Daire lining up for the 800m as they chase more National glory. Best of luck to both! 💚🍀

This marks Áine’s second All-Ireland gold medal of 2026 in the shot put off the back of her indoor win and her 2nd consecutive National Outdoor title👏🥇🥇

For Daire, today’s victory is his second National title of the year adding to his Schools U16 Boys Mile championship. An incredible achievement! 👏🥇🥇

A huge congratulations to both athletes on their fantastic performances and to everyone who represented the club today.

A huge well done to Lochlan Smith and Fionn McDonagh, who were crowned National Champions in the U10 Long Jump Pairs on Sunday 🥇

Lochlan jumped 3.61m, while Fionn produced a fantastic leap of 3.81m, combining to take home the gold medal and national title- their 1st gold! 👏🏻

We have just received news of a 2nd Interprovincial selection , this time for Daire Beacroft ,our U16 distance athlete after placing 1st in the U16 boys mile in the All Irelands recently.

The 123.ie Tailteann Games is a prestigious honour and this National Irish Inter-Provincial Schools Track & Field competition is taking place this Saturday, June 20, 2026 at SETU Carlow.
The premier event is for under-17 boys and girls who placed in the top 3 of their respective Leinster school athletics competitions of track & field events across Irish National Athletics.
At just 15 ,Daire is one of the younger athletes selected to represent Leinster and will be eligible next year based on his age.
