Congratulations to our U8 girls who completed their LSGL soccer blitz season today. On their final day they took part in the Skills Festival final blitz in Dundalk Sports Centre. Thanks to Louth School girls league for organizing the competition the team thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks to Mark Quinn, Richie Giggins and Nicole Malone for coaching the girls in their first game/blitz format season. Thanks to all parents and family who travelled to Dundalk each weekend to bring the girls, your support on the sidelines has been fantastic. And finally to our girls, the improvement and commitment to learning the game has been wonderful to watch. A few faces were missing on photo due to holidays. We can’t wait for next season already 💚🩷💚🩷

U13 shield. Square welcomed Rockville to Ardee today in the U13 Shield. The 1st goal arrived on 10mins when Ciaran Durnin raced onto a through ball from Daniel Byrne and Durnin put it in the back of the net. Square doubled the advantage when the Dardis brothers (Ben and Jack) combined for Jack to poke the ball home. The 3rd came from a free kick way out wide which Eoin Flynn floated into the top corner over the GK head. 3-0 at half time. Rockville didn't want to lie down and hit back with a great finish to the top corner. Square wanted to regain control and done so when Tom O'Neill dribbled into the box and shot, but the keeper done well to save but the ball fell to Dardis for his 2nd of the match. Rockville hit back again to make it 4-2. Square finished off the game when Thias Sharkey lifted the ball over the defence for Byrne to run onto and he slotted home calmly. Home win 5-2. The lads move on to the next round. Well done
