🇮🇪MEDAL ALERT🇮🇪 🥇
Molly and Emily did a fantastic job at the Para Athletics Activity Alliance Games games at the weekend in Coventry, with both girls managing to bag a superb 3 gold medals each.
Molly, the Irish team captain, had strong results in the 100m and Shot Put events, which she hopes to build on, plus earned a hard fought for PB in the 200m!
Emily competed in the Shot Put, Discus and Javelin events, securing very impressive distances in all.
She also ran in the 100m and 200m track disciplines, running very good times as she was coming back from injury!
Both of these inspiring young ladies will hope to build on their times and distances over the season and will hopefully be competing in the UK again in September.
We raise our glass at Ballymore Cobh AC to these two wonderful athletes.
a post we saw from the Irish Wheelchair Association Sport & what a privilege it is to have such an incredible athlete as a member of our club🖤💛
Molly, you are an absolute inspiration & a great role model for all of us - keep doing what you’re doing⭐️

The Slaney Sizzler Strikes Again
The Robbie Steele Memorial 4 Mile was held in glorious sunshine on Thursday evening.
A tricky one this, as it begins with an unorthodox start line facing up a steep incline of about 1km in length, before offering some challenging rolling hills over the middle section, followed by a very welcome (and at times quite steep) descent and flat fast finish towards the back end of the race.
Stick or twist? Ease into it or go eyeballs out and hope to hang on?
Whatever he did, it worked out very well for him, as our proud Wexford native, Bobby Anglim, podiumed again with a sublime time of 28:24 and 1st place O/65.
Hup the Yellowbellies 🖤🧡

Just another weekend? No it ain’t!
Ballymore Cobh AC are so proud of two of our athletes who make up part of a 23-strong panel representing Ireland this Saturday and Sunday.
That’s right, not one but two Irish international athletes! 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
The annual Para Athletics Activity Alliance Games 2026 are being held in the lovely English midland city of Coventry and Ballymore Cobh’s Molly and Emily will be there front and centre.
Coventry Athletics Track, Warwick University is the venue. Temperatures are expected to reach quite balmy high 20s, but these two young women are well-travelled and experienced, doubtless taking it in their stride.
Emily, who very recently returned from surgery, will compete in the F35 Shot put, Javelin and Discus at U16.
Molly will compete in the T35 100m and T35 200m, plus the F36 Shotput at U18.
Molly, additionally, has the absolute honour of captaining the Irish Junior team!
Please join us in wishing these two wonderful young athletes every success and enjoyment over the weekend. 🇮🇪🖤🧡🇮🇪
