🌟 Delighted to support this fantastic Community Sports Hub Abbeyleix Vitality Hub which is one of 5 Hubs in the County through the Dormant Accounts Fund! 🌟
It's inspiring to see the incredible impact this hub is having in promoting sport, physical activity, health, and community wellbeing.
With 219 community activities delivered, 3,808 participant engagements, and 56 different activities offered, this investment is helping to create more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get active, connect with others, and enjoy the many benefits of sport and recreation.
The project is a wonderful example of how Dormant Accounts funding can support increased participation in sport and physical activity while also fostering inclusion, sustainability, and stronger communities. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this vibrant community space such a success we look forward to seeing its continued positive impact for years to come! 💚🏃🚴

Registration is now open for our August soccer camp which will take place from Monday the 17th of August to the 20th of August 2026.

It will take place from 10am to 1pm each day in Fr Breen Park (Eircode - R32 H7WR)

At the Combined Counties Football League annual awards night, our late friend and colleague Adrian Freeman was posthumously awarded the Contribution to Football Award.

It was clear from the way the MC (the league secretary Chris Hand) spoke of Adrian that he knew him well. Awards nights can be noisy and rowdy affairs with teams of players anxious to celebrate their seasons, but Chris brought hush to the room as he spoke of the gentleman that was Adrian.

Marian, Ben and family and friends attended and the award was presented by Paul Cooke, the President of the FAI.

It was an occasion to celebrate Adrian’s contribution to our sport.

May he Rest in Peace.
