By showing up on the mat each day, we invest in a healthier tomorrow.

It’s not about the perfect practice, the most flexible body, or being able to do the most challenging postures.

It’s about showing up, and slowly building our wellbeing: physically, mentally, and spiritually.

One step at a time.
One practice at a time.❤️

When we sit down to meditate, numerous distractions compete for our attention. Rather than seeing these distractions as an impediment to meditation we try to view them as training opportunities.

Every time the mind gets distracted, and is then brought back to the focal point, it counts as one repetition. With multiple repetitions like this, our ability to focus gets stronger.

Focus is not the absence of distraction. Focus is the ability to watch the distraction as it arises, and quickly return to our task.

In Ashtanga, we often focus purely on the poses… but the breath is the real differentiator.

Ujjayi is there, yes.
But is your breath steady and effortless?

Or are you pushing, rushing, or holding?

Your breath can guide you back to a more subtle experience on the mat.

Keep coming back to the breath.❤️

The 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga come from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and describe a path of conscious living.

They guide us step by step on how we relate ourselves and to others. How we work with the body, breath, and mind. Ultimately, leading us toward self realisation and inner freedom.

Each limb represents a different aspect of the practice:
ethical principles, personal discipline, movement, breath, sensory awareness, concentration, meditation, and self realization.

This path is to be walked in our daily life.
It is something we can experience in simple ways; in how we act, how we breathe, how we focus, and how we show up moment to moment.

Save this post for later❤️🙏

Congratulations to our dear Purna Yogis for completing their 200h Yoga Teacher Training🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️

We feel truly blessed to have shared this journey with each of you.

This course was also very special for us. It was our first training back after becoming parents, with our little Ida joining us in the shala throughout the month. Before it began, we had our doubts… wondering how to balance presence for our students and for her.

But the experience surprised us in the most beautiful way.

Ida brought a sense of love and lightness into the space, and this training became a deep lesson in presence, trust, and letting go of expectations.

Our group came from all over the world… and by the end, we were no longer just a class, but a family.

Thank you for your openness, your dedication, and for making this journey so meaningful.❤️

Our next 200h Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training will take place:
22 November - 12 December 2026, Bali. Early bird discount for all the bookings done before May 15th!
