Hi everyone,

I am pleased to announce that Finley Polhill FP Racing #199 will be standing in for me at Thruxton.

Although I am out of hospital it will be a long recovery so I made the decision to lend my race bike to another rider for Thruxton. He will be standing in for me at Wilson Racing so the team costs are already covered but we are also including tyres and fuel and everything needed. The rider (and family) are super nice and he is super talented so it is a pleasure to offer this to him whilst I am recovering. He will be running my #11 number.

Out of hospital now and feeling much better but very weak and only able to walk short distances but hope to try and get down to watch if only for a day.

Hi,

HEALTH UPDATE - Gutted to say I will not be able to race at Silverstone this weekend nor for a while.

I have not really been myself for a while now with fatigue and losing concentration. On Monday I decided to push through it and go for a ride on my training bicycle. I managed to get two punctures during the ride so was only out for an hour or so but when I got home I felt very unwell and had a high temperature and heart rate so I went to the doctors who immediately sent me to casualty. After many hours waiting and blood tests and ultrasound scans a blood test came back positive for Epstein Barr virus (aka glandular fever)and a scan indetified that this has also caused my spleen to be swollen.

This means I have to rest and avoid any contact sports until my spleen is scanned in 3-4 weeks time so as well as missing Silverstone MotoGP weekend I will also miss Thruxton and maybe more.

I am still very weak and have a high temperature so will not even be able to come watch but I wish all the other riders a good weekend and will watch the races online.

IT'S RACE WEEK!

After the long winter break it's finally time to say that it's race week again. Here is the timetable for our first weekend at Oulton Park. Don't forget you can follow all of the actions live through TSL Timing and watch the races through the series YouTube channel.

I think it’s fair to say that although I had very few mishaps this winter, I’ve had quite a few crashes over the past 12 months—so I’ve really put my safety equipment to the test.

I’ve tried a number of leather brands, but some didn’t hold up well after a crash. One well-known brand, in particular, failed me three times in the same way and was unusable after each incident.

By far the best I’ve used has been are DRC Race Leathers .

They’re very comfortable, offer excellent protection, and have proven to be durable even after multiple crashes. The service has also been great.

A bit of a mixed test with and

The first few sessions were focused on bedding in the new bike and engine, so we held off on running a map. Even so, things went pretty well. Unfortunately, when it came time to put a map in, the quick shifter got corrupted, cutting my session short.

Day two started strong with the bike feeling dialled in, but I made a big mistake at Craner. A rider in front rolled off unexpectedly, I reacted, and it ended in a big crash that wrecked my brand new bike 😟

Luckily, we had a spare with us, so we got that prepped for the final two sessions. In the last session, I had another crash at Redgate after braking too hard. Not the way we wanted to end, but we’ve learned a lot and know exactly what needs to be done moving forward.

We’ll reset and come back ready for the first round at Oulton Park 🔥

Winter Report!!!

This winter showed major improvement compared to last year, with significantly more track time across both small and large circuits. I worked closely with and , making substantial changes to my riding style. Although the new approach took time to adapt to, training on worn tyres helped build better feel and understanding of the NSF chassis. By the end of the winter, everything came together, resulting in noticeable improvements in both riding performance and lap times.

At the Wilson Racing team tests in Valencia, I gained valuable experience riding alongside ESBK and Moto4 Northern Talent Cup riders. The sessions were highly competitive and race-like, helping push my pace and get comfortable riding with other riders at pace. I completed around 120 laps consistently, set a new personal best, and recorded one of the fastest laps in the group.

The second test at Cartagena was equally productive, allowing for further bike setup development and continued strong lap times compared to last year.

Overall, the winter has been extremely positive, with strong progress in both riding and performance. I feel well-prepared and motivated heading into the upcoming BSB test.
