We are extremely proud that the Santa Claus Cup 2016 MVP, Vojtěch Čihař , has once again been named MVP, this time at the IIHF U20 World Championship (Top Division) — ten years later!

Vojtech was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2nd round (57th overall) of the NHL Draft and signed a three-year contract with the club in 2025.

It is a great pleasure to see a former Santa Claus Cup MVP achieving such outstanding success on the international stage.

The 18th Santa Claus Cup AAA 2025 delivered an exciting weekend full of energy, strong competition and true holiday spirit. Teams from five countries came together to celebrate youth hockey and showcase their skills:

The tournament featured fast-paced games, great teamwork and unforgettable moments. The strongest performance of the weekend came from HC Rožnov Černí Vlci, earning the top position with confident and consistent play.

The group stage of the Santa Claus Cup wrapped up yesterday with intense battles across all groups. The teams advancing to the top eight are: HC Ruzinov ,Piráti Chomutov, Vasas Budapest, Gladiator Trnava, IOGJA Székesfehérvár, MAC Budapest, Spartak Dubnica, and HC Rožnov. Among them, Piráti Chomutov is the only team that has previously won the Santa Claus Cup.
So the big question is: will we crown a new champion tomorrow night?
