Heading to Denmark, heading to Silverrudder - Challenge of the Sea! 🇩🇰⛵
Victory is already on the trailer, and György Juhasz is getting ready for Silverrudder once again! After finishing third in 2024 and winning the Mini class last year, he is taking on the challenge again.
And this year, we’ll have two FLAAR 24s to cheer for: Gregor Förster will also take the start in another boat!
134 nautical miles – nearly 250 kilometres, with the actual distance sailed likely to be even longer.
Silverrudder – Challenge of the Sea is the world’s largest single-handed sailing race by number of participants. Starting and finishing in Svendborg, the course takes sailors around the Danish island of Funen. Narrow passages, strong currents, open-water sections and sailing through the night put both sailors and boats to the test. Every sail change, every manoeuvre and every decision is down to one person.
The Mini class starts on Friday, 18 September at 10:00.
This year, we’re cheering for them. Next year, we could be cheering for you too!
To celebrate this year’s Silverrudder, we’re launching a purchase and preparation programme for up to three new FLAAR 24s:
⛵ €7,000 off the pre-VAT purchase price, plus personalised boat setup and preparation support.
⛵ An additional €3,000 rebate, calculated before VAT, if you take the start of Silverrudder 2027 in your new FLAAR 24.
The additional rebate is for taking the start – not for your finishing position or completing the course. And the initial purchase discount is available even if you have different plans for next season.
📩 Message us “SILVERRUDDER” by 23 September, and let’s talk about the programme, your boat and your next season!
Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing photos, videos and stories from the event. Follow along and join us in cheering for György and Gregor!
