UK Development Camp 2026 🇬🇧⚽️📈🔝

Day 4 🇬🇧

Our players joined the StevenGerrard.Academy U15, U16 and U17 elite squads for part of their pre season programme. The session started with strength and conditioning before moving into a competitive technical training session. It was a fantastic experience and a great opportunity for our boys to train in a high performance environment. 🔝

In the afternoon, all of the boys trained with Kirkby Town, where they had another chance to train alongside local players. 💪

Day 5 🇬🇧

We started the morning with a recovery yoga session 🧘, followed by our final interactive English lesson with Mrs Ana. 🗣️
U15s played their first match of the week, representing AFC Knowsley Villa. It was a great opportunity to put everything they had been learning into practice. ⚽️

Day 6 🇬🇧

Our U13 player had the chance to represent Bootle FC in a match, experiencing what it’s like to play alongside English players and adapt to a different style of football. ⚽️

The U15s also played another match, this time representing Halewood Bayern, giving them even more valuable match experience in a new environment.⚽️

It has been a busy but incredibly rewarding week for the boys. They have trained with different coaches, played for different clubs, improved their English by using it in everyday situations and gained valuable experience both on and off the pitch. 📈

Day 3 🇬🇧

We started the morning with a swimming session to help the players recover after the previous days’ activities. 🏊

After that, we took part in another interactive English lesson at Riba North. 🗣️

We finished the day with a top quality small group training session led by Coach Mike from TOUK group, focusing on individual development. ⚽️

UK Development Camp 2026 🇬🇧⚽️📈🔝

Our first two days in England have been full of learning, development and great experiences!

Day 1 🇬🇧

We travelled to Liverpool and, after arriving, went straight to our first interactive English lesson at Liverpool Central Library. 🗣️

These lessons help the kids become more creative and confident when speaking English. From our experience, many of them can read, write and understand English well, but they often struggle with speaking confidently. That’s why these interactive lessons are so valuable and they help improve both their speaking skills and their confidence in using the language in real life situations. 📈

Day 2 🇬🇧

It was a long but fantastic day!

We started the morning with a running session led by Tony Clarke who has worked with academy players across the North West. He was also Phil Foden’s athletic coach before Phil became a professional footballer and has worked with several other professional players over the years including Connor Coady, Grace Clinton, and Missy Bo Kearns. 🔝

The session focused on running technique and acceleration, giving the players valuable knowledge they can apply in their own game. 🏃

After the excellent running session, we headed to the Liverpool World Museum for our second interactive English lesson. Later, the players took part in an intense small group training session with Coach Andre from KKZ Coaching. 💪

In the evening, Vinny had an extra training session with Kirkby Town to gain even more experience in the English football environment. ⚽️

The goal of this week is to give the players experience in different environments, receive advice from experienced coaches on how they can improve, and most importantly, use English in real life situations. We want them to experience the difference between learning English in the classroom and using it confidently in everyday life. ✅

6th Day 🇪🇸
Villarreal CF

We played two matches today. In the morning, we won our first knockout match comfortably to progress to the quarter finals. 💪⚽️

In the afternoon, we drew our quarter final match, but unfortunately, we weren’t on our side in the penalty shootout.

The boys made a fantastic impression throughout the tournament. We finished as the highest scoring team with 34 goals and we’re especially proud that Peter Tanács finished as the tournament’s Top Goalscorer with 8 goals! 🏆⚽️

Congratulations to the whole team on a fantastic tournament and a special congratulations to Peter on his well deserved individual award! 👏

Results are not everything. The way we played, competed and conducted ourselves throughout the tournament is even more important in the long term.

Keep working hard, stay humble and more opportunities will come. 🟡🇪🇸⚽️

5th Day 🇪🇸

We kicked off the Yellow Cup group stage and played our first three matches, winning all of them! 💪⚽️

A fantastic start to the tournament with great performances from the whole team.

Tomorrow, we continue our journey in the knockout stage. Let’s keep the momentum going! 🟡🇪🇸🏆

4th Day 🇪🇸

In the morning, we played our second friendly match against St. Mary’s Soccer Club from 🇺🇸. It was another great opportunity to continue developing as a team and put into practice what we’ve been working on during the week. ⚽️

In the evening, we attended the opening ceremony of the Yellow Cup at La Cerámica Stadium. 🏟️ It was an unforgettable experience and a fantastic way to kick off the tournament.

3rd Day 🇪🇸

In the morning, we had another great training session with Coach Rafa at the Villarreal CF Academy Training Ground. ⚽️

In the afternoon, we analyzed yesterday’s match, reviewing our performance and identifying areas for improvement. 📈

Another valuable day of learningin Spain. 🇪🇸
