An amazing week of squash came to an end at the PSA Budapest Squash Open. 🏆✅

Congratulations to Velavan Senthilkumar for winning the title, and all the other participants for their performance. 👏🏼

Home favourite Balázs Farkas had an amazing week at the PSA Copper event, he produced several outstanding victories on his way to the final, defeating, among others, No. 2 seed Bernat Jaume and world No. 41 Moustafa Elsirty. 🇭🇺

For the third consecutive year, the PSA Budapest Open has brought the world of professional squash to Budapest. Only a limited number of PSA World Tour events are held in Europe, and they are particularly rare in Central and Eastern Europe. We are proud that Budapest continues to be part of the international squash calendar year after year. 🌎💪🏼

It was also a great honour to welcome Mr Gábor Pósfai, Minister of the Interior, and Mr Attila Kálnoki-Kiss, State Secretary for Sport, who attended the final and the awards ceremony. 🤝🏼

Velavan Senthilkumar is the PSA Budapest Squash Open Champion! 🏆🇭🇺

After a solid performance, Senthilkumar defeated home favourite Balázs Farkas 3–0 in the final to claim the PSA Budapest Squash Open title.

Congratulations to Senthilkumar on his outstanding performance throughout the entire week and on winning the championship! 👏🏼

And of course, congratulations to Balázs as well, who put together a fantastic run to the final, showing some incredibly strong performances and impressive victories along the way! 🤝🏼🇭🇺

Yesterday, we witnessed two fantastic semi-finals.

The two Indian players battled it out in an incredibly tight five-game match, with Senthilkumar securing his place in the final. 🇮🇳

In the bottom half of the draw, Balázs Farkas booked his spot in the final with a confident 3–0 victory against Elshirty. ✅

PSA Budapest Squash Open 🏆 Day 3 ✅

Balázs Farkas reaches the semi-finals of the PSA Budapest Squash Open! 🔥

We witnessed four fantastic matches on Day 3 of the tournament. ⭐️

In the top half of the draw, Senthilkumar defeated the No. 1 seed 3–0, while fellow Indian player Chotrani also secured his place in the final four. 🇮🇳

In the bottom half, Elshirty booked his place in the semi-finals after a close 3–1 victory. ✔

Meanwhile, Balázs Farkas continues to knock out seeded players, this time defeating the No. 7 seed, Japan’s Tsukue, 3–0. 💪🏼

The semi-finals are coming up on Thursday, and we’re expecting another day of exciting, world-class squash! 😉

PSA Budapest Squash Open 🏆 Day 2 ✅

The second day of the PSA Budapest Open brought plenty of excitement, and the Hungarian players also put in fantastic performances! 🇭🇺🔥

Benedek Takács, after taking a 2–1 lead, eventually lost in five games to top seed Yow, ranked World No. 18. An incredible performance from the young Hungarian! 👏

Balázs Farkas defeated second seed Jaume 3–1, who finished 4th at the European Individual Championships just last week. With this victory, Balázs has secured his place in the quarter-finals! 💪🇭🇺

Among the seeded players, Raphael Kandra was also eliminated, with India’s Senthilkumar winning 3–1.

The quarter-final line-up is now complete – and the matches at the PSA Budapest Open are getting more and more intense! 🔥🏆
