Yes there’s discomfort in getting your backside to the gym more and actually pushing yourself
Yes it’s an effort to plan your food and say no to 3 meals out in your week
But what’s also uncomfortable?
Staying stuck in not only a body you feel uncomfortable in, but a mindset that’s holding you back
Telling yourself you’ll just try again next week
Letting yourself off the hook when you’ve cancelled, yet again, another gym session
We’re not about letting ourselves down here
And I know it’s much easier to show up for yourself when you’ve got someone holding you accountable

The reason you constantly yo-yo is because you don’t know how to maintain
All you ever focus on is losing weight
You’re forever dieting
And yet wonder why you can’t grow the shape you want
Why your glutes are still looking like 🥞 when really you want them to look like 🍑
You NEED to get out of the diet
You need to spend time building
And no I’m not talking about a dirty bulk where you pile all the weight back on
Just getting your calories up to maintenance
To a point you can actually build muscle properly
Learn how to eat more
And actually get that body of your dreams
I’m not one to gatekeep
I literally show you EVERYTHINGGG
I’ve done multiple YouTube videos documenting everything I’ve done on my journey
And it’s not magic
But it doesn’t come from lifting the same 2-3kg dumbbells in your living room
It doesn’t come from just doing cardio, HIIT classes and slogging yourself
The shape I’ve built is a result of YEARS of progressive strength training
And I’ve revealed it by cutting down my calories over the past 7 weeks
It’s consistency in nailing the basics over and over
Now I’ll be spending more time building muscle to improve on this physique even more

How frustrating is it going to the gym but feeling like you never look any different?
You enjoy lifting weights and you feel like you’re pushing yourself but still don’t feel good in your body
It’s gets pretty bloody frustrating doesn’t it
Because you know you don’t feel good enough to whip your top off and train in your sports bra
And you’re stuck wondering what the hell you need to do
Because half of instagram is telling you to stop dieting and eat more 

But then in your head you know you need to lose some body fat to show off that shape you’ve been working on
And that’s exactly where Rachel was
She knew she enjoyed the gym, it was never an issue getting there
But she knew she also wanted to drop some body fat, get to that position of no longer having to diet
So we mapped out her journey, nailed the fat loss phase
Helped her to manage weight loss around socials and optimising her calories so she could still get strong and focus on her goals of getting her first pull up
And now, I’m teaching her how to manage all her socials, Summer holidays and eating more calories
WITHOUT doing that thing of just smashing the F it button
And coming back in Winter because she knows she’s back at square one
We’re mapping out every week with her training towards her hyrox goal
I’m keeping her accountable and helping her with her mindset around eating more
And she knows her energy levels are better than ever
She’s going to build some serious shape, muscle and she’s not far off the pull up goal
Because the journey doesn’t end at fat loss
It’s just the beginning

Prepping for a shoot is an amazing thing to do
The shoot itself was incredible and I felt so proud of myself for the work I’d put in
But it’s not just been 7 weeks
It’s been YEARS of building muscle, fat loss phases to tighten up and time spent at maintenance
You don’t just get here in 7 weeks
But now the exciting bit is next
I get to spend the rest of the year eating more than ever
Focusing on getting stronger, building more shape
And who knows, maybe doing another shoot in the near future eyes
I love this game of constantly working on myself
The journey doesn’t end when you’ve reached your fat loss goals girls

We can’t stop talking about mental health
The gym is a big part of my life but not just because it helps me to build muscle and feel really bloody strong
But because it soothes my mind too
It gives me the endorphins I need on the days where I’m fighting with my mind
It’s that time where all the buzz just silences
And I cannot shout about it enough for that
But I also have to do the work outside the gym
The journaling, the therapy
Mental health doesn’t just “fix”
If only right
But this is just your reminder that you never know the battles people are facing
Be kind always and just take some time to listen 🫶🏻

It’s all coming together now. I full on hit SAD hard at the start of the year and I’m finally coming out of the other side into sunshine time. But proud of me for continuing to show up even in those tough times and proud of my girls as always🌞🫶🏻
