🐟 Meet the Flying Gurnard! 🐟
One of the Adriatic’s most fascinating underwater residents is the Flying Gurnard. Despite its name, it doesn’t actually fly—but when it spreads its enormous pectoral fins, it creates an unforgettable display that looks like colorful underwater wings.
📏 Size
A Flying Gurnard can grow up to 50 cm and weigh as much as 1 kg.
Keep your eyes on the sandy seabed during your next dive—you might be lucky enough to spot this incredible fish showing off its stunning “wings”!
