This Father’s Day, I’m celebrating my ultimate role model and pillar of strength💪
Dad🪽you always believed in lifting others up and backing me unconditionally. I’m so grateful for having you as my mentor and my safe place🫂💕🧿
Here are the lessons you lived by and passed down to me👇
1. “No one can steal your knowledge” 📚💡🎓👩🎓
Dad deeply valued education but never pressured me into a box. When I scored a 96 in Accounts but realized a desk job wasn’t for me, he didn’t get angry. He politely said, “No worries, do what you are passionate about.” ✨
He chose my happiness over society’s expectations, giving me the freedom to build my fitness career. 🏋️♀️🔥
2. Work hard, but stay humble 🙏✨🧬
Dad believed grit and humility outshine everything. I got my work ethic straight from his genetics, learning to balance sports, studies, and entrepreneurship🏆⏳
He showed me how to push through the most hectic times in lifewhile keeping my feet on the ground, helping me crush goals while managing my autoimmune health🦠🦾❤️🩹
3. Follow your passion & aim for the top 🌍🏀🏋️♀️🥇🧿
Dad was my biggest cheerleader, guiding me through 9 basketball national championships.
When I got injured, he always said, “I’ve got your back.” 🛡️🤝
When he suffered a brain stroke in 2020, I was barely 50 kg and felt heartbrokenly weak because I couldn’t lift his 70 kg body weight on the hospital bed🏥🥺
He always said, “You’re my son not my daughter you can achieve anything you set your mind too🎯,” and that helplessness drove me to start Fit Samra in 2020.
Now, in 2026, I can deadlift and squat way more than his body weight! 🏋️♀️💥 Today, I use that strength to train thousands of clients across the globe 🌍✈️ to live healthy and pain free lives💪🧘♀️
Dad, you believed in me before I even knew what self love meant. 💖
I wish I could bring you back, but you are always in my heart, thoughts, and prayers🤲

One year ago, my doctors gave me some heavy news🦠❤️🩹 To manage an autoimmune disease, I had to take medication that caused a severe side effect: osteoporosis🦴💪📉
My bones 🦴 were so weak that I was told I could easily fracture my wrist. ❌
I was completely disheartened💔 But when I asked how to fix it, my doctors gave me a spark of hope: “Osteoporosis can be reversed if you build muscle.” 🏋️♀️✨
I took that challenge and ran with it⚡Build a life around fitness & became a Fitness Coach💪🧿
After falling over 100 times 🤸♂️🔄, getting right back up, and refusing to give in, I just held a freestyle handstand!
I am balancing my entire body weight on the exact wrists once diagnosed with osteoporosis. 🤯👑

When an Athlete transforms into a Coach⛹🏻♀️🔄🏋️♀️Everything changes. You stop treating your body like a machine to beat up, and start treating it as a sanctuary to protect💪💯✨🧿
Last week, reality hit hard💥 A sudden, pinching pain around my scapula a pulled rhomboid completely sidelined my back training, right as my period cycle started🩸🤦♀️
When things go wrong at once, everyone has an opinion. 🗣️ Some blamed “evil eye” (nazar) 🧿; others said overexertion🏋️♀️
For a second, I wondered if I should just Quit. But my intuition kicked in: This isn’t a curse it’s a test to see if I’m still hungry to level up🥊🤸♀️🔥📈🧿
I spent the weekend resting my overactive muscles and calming my nervous system. 🛌🌿 It taught me a powerful lesson: It is entirely okay to take a back seat, skip the PRs, embrace a deload, and just breathe🫁🧘♀️
The Internal Battle: Old Samra vs. New Samra 🧠⚔️🤝🎯
Ever since my autoimmune diagnosis🦠, I’ve been in a frantic hustle mode to make a comeback🏃♀️💨 And while I am incredibly proud to have brought my disease into remission ✅and reversed osteoporosis🦴, it created a constant internal war:
The Athlete⛹🏻♀️ in me 🤸♀️ is hardwired to never give up and push past the pain.The Rabbit 🐇 mentality.
The Coach🏋️♀️ in me reminds me to take it one day at a time and listen to the warning signs of my body & slow down like a tortoise 🐢
This week, the Coach won. And thank goodness she did🤍🙌Because slow & steady always wins the race🐇👉🐢
