A fantastic day for OSC . Last weekend's grading brought in many little warriors , achieving their next belt in karate . The biggest highlight was the fantastic achievement from Connor Yip , passing his 1st Degree Black Belt . Connor has been training with me since 2017 . Move on 7 years later and training harder than ever , he was pushed to his limits in a gruelling exam .
This consisted of over 50 advanced moves ( punches , kicks , knees , elbows and sweeps ) and 10 katas / forms . After this stage was completed , he was then put through 10x 1 minute rounds of fighting , with fresh opponents ( including me ) with no break . To finish off he had to then fight 2 vs1 , followed by a round on the pads .
It takes a lot more than just skill set and fitness at this level . It takes heart , courage and pure determination , all of which this young man possessed on the day . Super proud and a massive congratulations 💪🏽🥊🥋✨🎉
Another great day at D Power Muaythai interclub competition and a great effort and win to MaWa from One Strike Combat .
