Shape-shifting Open Source Sailing Robot for Ocean Sensing and Cleaning Protei is produced by V2_ Institute for the Unstable Media in Rotterdam, NL.

Protei is a fleet of Sailing Drones with articulated hulls, developed primarily to collect Oil Spills under Open Hardware licensing by Open_Sailing, randomwalks and Amorphica. Protei has been generously funded by over 300 backers on Kickstarter. Everyone is welcome to join, contribute, modify, produce, distribute the design and share their findings.
