🇸🇬🏀 Project Crossover tipped off in Punggol!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at our Project Crossover launch event in Punggol in July. The weekend was a fantastic celebration of basketball, community and youth development, with hundreds of children and families taking part.

ALBA BERLIN — Germany’s largest and most successful basketball club — is proud to bring its extensive experience in community-based youth basketball from Germany to Asia. Through initiatives across Germany and Asia, ALBA BERLIN reaches tens of thousands of children through accessible, high-quality programmes that connect basketball, education and community.

For the Punggol launch One Punggol Community Club (Punggol Coast) , ALBA BERLIN coaching staff and senior representatives from Berlin, Hong Kong and Singapore came together on court to share our approach to learning, teamwork and enjoying the game. The outcome was fantastic, and the energy from the young players and families made the event truly special.

Project Crossover aims to create more accessible, high-quality basketball opportunities for young people across Singapore, particularly in communities where regular training opportunities may be limited. We are now excited to roll out the regular programme in September!

From Berlin to Taicang 🇩🇪✈️🇨🇳

From 12–18 June, a five-member ALBA BERLIN delegation led by Managing Director Asia Thomas Vogel visited Taicang for a week of basketball, exchange and new connections.

The programme included a company tournament, student training sessions, a youth 3x3 competition and a visit to a provincial men’s championship game, besides many valuable conversations about German and Chinese basketball development. Beyond the court, the delegation also met with key representatives from government, basketball and education.

A big thank you to TIZ for the outstanding hospitality and support. We are excited to build on this momentum and bring more joint basketball, youth and cultural-exchange activities to Taicang over the next two years.

This past weekend, our Managing Director, Thomas Vogel, joined the Asia Basketball Summit in Macau as a panelist during the EASL Championship Weekend at the impressive .

Mr. Vogel shared insights into basketball team’s Asia strategy and what makes our club a distinct and dynamic player in the global basketball landscape. Beyond being Germany’s largest and most successful basketball club, ALBA BERLIN engages thousands of children and young people across Germany — and increasingly, beyond its borders — every single week. Through both our professional and community programs, we continue to champion basketball as a universal language and a vehicle for connection and growth.

It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with fellow industry leaders and enthusiasts from across Asia, all united by a shared passion for the orange ball that brings people together worldwide.
