Meet the coaching team of the 4th Optimist Coaches Event in Athens.
Three days dedicated to knowledge sharing, on-water practice, and structured discussions among top international coaches.

This year’s program will be guided by:
🟠 Pavlo Dontsov – Moderator Coach
2025 Female World Champion Coach, bringing a performance-driven approach and extensive experience shaping top-level Optimist athletes.

🟠 Santiago Lopez – Moderator Coach
A highly respected Optimist coach with a strong background in developing young sailors and creating effective coaching frameworks for both training and competition.

🟠 Michele Ricci – Guest Coach
Internationally renowned umpire and team-race specialist. His sessions will cover Rule 42, fair-sailing philosophy, and the foundations of team-race theory from a coaching perspective.

From November 18–20, coaches from around the world will gather in Athens to exchange ideas, refine their methods, and participate in structured sessions on land and on the water.
