Recognizable by its shimmering golden stripes, this peaceful fish is often seen swimming in large schools over rocky reefs and seagrass meadows.
Fun fact: despite its shiny appearance, it's a vegetarian! Salema porgies spend most of their day grazing on algae and seagrass, helping keep the reef healthy. 🌿

This is the Antlers Sponge Coral (Axinella polypoides), often mistaken for the Yellow Tube Sponge from a few posts ago...but notice the difference: instead of smooth tubes, it grows in branching, antler-like shapes.

And who’s stealing the spotlight? A little baby lionfish, aligning itself perfectly in front of the antlers 💛

Meet the Moray Eel, the sneakiest predator of the Aegean Sea! These nocturnal hunters spend their days hiding in crevices and holes, then strike fast at unsuspecting prey at night.
