Sail Away From Norway

Menorca is super nice! We first stopped at Cala Binibequer where we met a norwegian living there in his sailboat. 🙌 Bergenser out of all things (not so far from where we live in Norway)

We then went to Punta Prima that many people recommended us. It was REALLY clear water there 😍 Maybe the clearest we’ve seen so far 😅👌 It was also a really nice anchor place 👌 Here we also made some new Spanish friends 👌

Then we sailed to this little bay, Cala Teulera which is right outside the city Mao. This is a really well protected bay with almost no wind so it was also really really hot there right now 😂👌 We picked up a package in Mao and shopped groceries there. Mao is really pretty with lots of beautiful views, and they have a dinghy dock almost right in the city which is really nice 👌👌

And now we are on the move again. 🙌 Not long until we go to Sardinia now 🥰👌 Soon new country!

We are in Menorca for the first time! 🥰🤗 It’s beautiful here, but last two days we’ve had wind gusts up in 40+ knots 😅

We’ve gone out a few times just to fish before we decided to go to Menorca. And we got fish!! Looks like we’re starting to have success with fishing now! 😁👌

We were also anchored outside Pollenca marina which is a super nice place and a obviously a very popular anchor place with lots of sailboats anchored there. Looks like a fairytale with all the mountains in the background 🥰

We also played spikeball for the first time ever with some new German friends! It was super fun 😍🙌

Besides that we’ve also had some nice lunch/dinners and just enjoyed our time in Mallorca before we left to Menorca. ❤️ Frode also repaired the dinghy and we got to empty some water that had come inside the tube so now the dinghy is much lighter again 😂🙌 We’ve also been swimming a lot as it’s been really warm lately. 30+ degrees out at sea and even more at land 😅👌

We haven’t been to land yet here in Menorca because of the wind, but we’ll definitely go check it out soon! We also heard that there might be some more marine life here so we’re hoping to see some cool marine life and find some nice places to dive 😍

We’ve been going little by little almost every day now, moving around the island 🥰 On saturday we also had a new Spanish friend over which was super nice! 👌

There are soo many beautiful beaches all over Mallorca. We just keep seeing more and more 😍 With turquoise sea stretching faar out from the beach 😍

The sea temperature is also just getting better and better! Reached almost 28 degrees on the most now! In the sea!! 😍👌 Besides that it’s been really hot on land too. Like 30 + degrees almost every day. 🥰

Then we also bought some new fishing gear! We are super happy about it because after two days of trying to get a fish we finally got not just one, but two fish!! 🎣😍👌 One that is apparently called «greater amberjack» and one tuna finally again! 🙌😁 The tuna was almost 12 kg!

We’ve also did a lot of tacking when we sailed this week. Always funny to look back at the chart then 😂 And used both the Spinnakers many times 😍 The speed is incredible compared to how little wind it has been 😅👌

Here comes part two after Cala Pi 😍👌

We sailed on Wednesday from Cala Pi to Sa Cova Baixa and stayed there for a day. It was a pretty place, but also very open, so we left after a day and then moved to right outside the Palma Cathedral just in time for a beautiful sunset 😍

We even got to use the Spinnaker again on the way to anchor outside the cathedral. 😍 And the water temperature is just getting better and better. It was up in more than 27 degrees!! 👌🥰

Our boat is also looking tiny now compared to all the big boats that’s been surrounding us lately 😂

We also went on land and rented a scooter and did a lot of errands and of course had a nice menu del dia lunch 😂👌 We even got ourselves some new fishing gear! 😇 Also went to a pawn shop for the first time which was cool to see! Then we also went to an authentic Chinese place which was soo good! And so surprisingly cheap, like how do they even make money with such a low price? 😅

This day we had some big waves. Then we always get to entertain our neighbours when we drive the dinghy 🙃

We then put out our rear anchor to turn the boat towards the waves which makes wavy days feel hundred times better. 🥰

Now we’re looking forward (again) to explore more of this beautiful island 😍

Here comes some update just from La Cala Pi because the water was so stunning and the whole place was so beautiful so we took so many pictures here 🙃😍 (Even though we moved again and we’re ca. right outside the Cathedral in Palma now)

But yeah, we moved from the little beach along the coast to a place called Cala Pi which was really beautiful! 😍 So many sailboats were out this day btw. Perfect sailing day 👌 Even saw one called Gin Tonic. (Found out it was a charter boat were all their boats has drink names 😂)

We’ve been eating taco for some days to eat up some of our minced meat that needed to be eaten soon, haha. But taco is nice, so we don’t mind! 😂👌

In Cala Pi, we snorkelled and Frode was also amazing and washed/scraped all the hull👌🙌

We’ve also been tanning of course 🤪 Enjoying this beautiful place and Frode also got up to the top of the mast to fix a rope and then also took some amazing photos!! 😍❤️

We then started to move back to Palma again, but we took so many pictures lately so maybe there will be a part 2 tomorrow? 🥰🥰

We’ve been (again 🤪) enjoying nice food and company with good sailorfriends and also had some wine and cheese at the boat and lots of other yum food 😍 (actually had some chicken and burger and eggs too now. Not just taco, pizza and pasta 😂👌)

It’s crazy many boats now. Never seen so many at once before around the beaches 😂

We’ve been sitting outside eating dinner and getting tan 🤪, swimming etc. And then inside in the evening with some tv episodes maybe 🥰 The water has reached 25 degrees now!! 😍

Frode also mounted some new fancy light in the rear bathroom🤗

Yesterday we started moving a little bit to explore the island some more 🥰 It’s so many beautiful places here! (Marked 40+ places on the map atm to see)😍 We stopped at this place with a tiny beach with only a few other sailboats. It’s super nice and clear water here ❤️ We will probably keep going a little bit later today and explore more 🥰

This week we’ve been eating good food, washing clothes, fueling up with fuel for the dinghy, went swimming in the sea and we even went to some really nice wine tasting!

It’s been really nice weather, reaching 30 degrees or more 🥵😍 The sea temperature is like 24 degrees now! We love it 😍👌

We’ve had friends over and had lots of fun (as usual, haha 🤪❤️). We fed the fish, Frode even washed under our dinghy because it was getting really dirty under there.

Then yesterday Joakim left us! 😢 He will be gone for some weeks before he comes back again. 😁🙌 He was lucky for leaving yesterday because yesterday evening / night, the boat was rolling like crazy 😅😂

Can you believe Joakim has lived with us since the end of march already? Time really flies. 😳

We are thinking of just going around here in Mallorca and explore different places around here because there is a lot of beautiful places to see. Then after that we will most probably go to Menorca and then head towards Italy. 🥰

Life lately ☀️⛵️

We’ve honestly been chilling a lot lately. Frode and Joakim has gotten sick. They’re getting better though. Apparently Magaluf Flu is a thing 😂 Marthe had her turn some weeks ago too.

The weather has been absolutely amazing though! So warm and nice 🥰👌 The fans inside the boat have officially come out because of the heat, but we’re not complaining 😇

We’ve mostly just been enjoying the sun, relaxing and going for little walks on land and swimming ☀️ Throwing garbage, grocery shopping, picking up packages, sometimes eating out or getting a drink 🙌

Aaand… we’ve actually been considering something pretty big for a while now 👀
We’ve been talking for a while about maybe getting a bigger boat 👀⛵️ A catamaran to be precise. 👌 We’ve even been talking about possibly putting the boat up for sale soon just to see what kind of interest there is. So stay tuned if you are looking for a fantastic liveaboard sailboat! We are really excited to see what happens the next month or two! Who knows what we will do this time? 🤪

Since last Friday we stayed a few more days at the spa hotel just enjoying life with a whirlpool bath and everything 😂😍 We went to some beautiful restaurants too with super good food 🤤

We also «celebrated» the National day of Norway, 17th of May in a norwegian bar we found, haha. Didn’t stay too long there though before going somewhere else 😂 But it was cozy to see some Norwegian decoration on 17th of May.

We also have forgotten to tell you guys that Joakim that lives on the boat with us, is a dj! And lately he has released a bunch of new songs a bit related to our life here at sea 😂😂 Go listen to them on spotify. Just search for «Joakim Langeid» 🙌😂

We moved a tiny bit to another beach so we’re closer to a nice dinghy dock that is more central than the last place we stayed. The weather is getting really nice and warm and even the water temperature is getting pretty good now! ❤️

Since we’re staying in Palma a bit longer, yesterday we finally took out our huge pink flamingo!! 🦩 It’s been taking up a lot of space inside, even in the box, but it was soo worth bringing with us. (I may have had to convince Frode that it was a necessity 😇👌)

We are loving Mallorca so much!! It’s so beautiful, warm and so much nice food and places on this island! We’ve been enjoying ourselves soo much! We met some people from Brazil that lives in London that we got really good friends with and that we’ve been hanging with many days in a row now! 🥰🙌

We’ve been to clubs, restaurants, beaches, even drove go karts and we even played a poker tournament and casino. Frode actually won the poker yesterday! We also checked in to a spa hotel just because, haha 😂❤️

We also went to a concert with the norwegian artist, ! It was lots of fun! We seemed to be the only Norwegians there (everyone else was Swedish and a few danish) so we actually got to know him a little bit. Such a nice and fun person! 👌 Joakim was even on stage with him and sung some songs with him 😂😂👌

We don’t know how long we will stay here, but definitely some more days around Mallorca before we start heading towards Menorca. ❤️
