What a day! After four rounds of incredible shots, tactical battles, and tons of laughs, we have our grand champion.

A massive congratulations to Peter for walking away with a flawless, undefeated record today! He is also taking home a brilliant £50 voucher, kindly donated by Casa Pepe Restaurant 🍽️🎉
We also want to say a huge thank you to all the other players who participated today.

☀️ Summer Mêlée 2026 ☀️

A fantastic day of pétanque was enjoyed by all at today's Summer Mêlée, with plenty of competitive matches, great camaraderie and excellent sportsmanship throughout the four rounds.

At the end of play, Emily and Nina finished completely level, with neither player able to be separated on wins, points scored or points difference.

Under normal circumstances a tie-breaker could have been played, however, due to the exceptionally warm conditions, it was decided not to proceed with an additional match.

In a great display of sportsmanship, both players agreed to share the title and prize, making them joint winners of the Summer Mêlée. 🏆🏆

A special thank you to The Rock Hotel for generously donating an Afternoon Tea for Two as today's prize. We are extremely grateful for their support.

✨Mid May Mêlée✨

What a brilliant afternoon on the pistes for our first melee tournament of the year on Saturday☀️🎯

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing, and with teams changing every single round, the games were as unpredictable as they were fun.

We saw some fantastic play on the pistes with some great results ☺️

The biggest round of applause goes to Gill, who took home the top spot! What makes it even more impressive is that this was only her second tournament ever.

To come away with the win so early in her petanque journey is absolutely brilliant—huge congratulations, Gill! 🏆🎉

As her prize, she won a Gibraltar Petanque Association Mug as well as a Meal for Two from O'Reilly's Marina Bar as well as a £10 voucher from El Kasbah as a treat for winning the competition.

Following the success of last Friday’s event, we thought it would be a good idea to share our opening hours for anyone interested in coming down to try Pétanque 🎯😊

We’ve put together a quick poster with our usual opening hours, including the Saturdays we open up when there’s a tournament or event on.

Whether you’re a regular player or completely new to the game, everyone is welcome 👍

It was such an enjoyable evening with our members showing everyone how to play especially in the sunshine that came with it.

Everyone got a little certificate and a pen at the end and it was great to see all the smiling faces enjoying the game of Petanque 😊
