Western Regional Football Association

Six young footballers from the Western Region have been selected among 108 promising players for a comprehensive screening exercise by the Ghana Football Association as preparations begin for the maiden FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festivals in Azerbaijan this October.

The screening will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

To ensure a thorough assessment, the 108 players have been grouped into three batches of 36.

The first batch reports on Friday, July 17, 2026 and will be in camp until Tuesday, July 21.

The second batch runs from Tuesday, July 21 to Saturday, July 25, while the final batch will be assessed from Saturday, July 25.

Head Coach Salifu Fatawu and his technical team will oversee the exercise.

Western Regional Football Association - Elite U-17 Girls justify

*Selection Criteria*
1. *Age*: Born between *Jan 2009 - Dec 2011*
Max 17 years by end of 2026, Min 15 years

2. *Education*: Must not be above *SHS 3*

3. *Screening*: Physical screening on arrival. Anyone found above age will be disqualified and not replaced

This is a big opportunity for young female players in the Western Region to get into the elite U-17 setup.
