UPPER EAST REGION FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION MOURNS THE PASSING OF MUBARAK IBRAHIM DAANA " MAGNET"

The Upper East Region Football Association (UERFA) is deeply saddened by the passing of Mubarak Ibrahim Daana, Chief Executive Officer of Sumbrungu Kunkua Ladies FC.

Mubarak was a dedicated servant of football whose commitment and contribution to the development of the game, particularly women’s football in the Upper East Region, will be remembered with great respect.

The UERFA extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the management, technical team, players and supporters of Sumbrungu Kunkua Ladies FC, as well as the wider football community.
At this difficult moment, we stand in solidarity with all who mourn his loss.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Bolga Sharp Arrows Ladies U-15 Crowned FIFA Development Girls Colts League Champions

Bolga Sharp Arrows Ladies U-15 delivered a commanding performance to defeat Bolga All Stars Ladies U-15 7-0 in the final of the FIFA Development Girls Colts League.
Both teams entered the final unbeaten after impressive performances in the group stages, where they topped their respective zones to secure qualification to the championship match.
Sharp Arrows wasted no time in asserting their dominance, racing into a 3-0 lead before halftime and leaving Bolga All Stars with a mountain to climb heading into the second half.
The momentum continued after the break as Sharp Arrows added four more goals to complete an emphatic 7-0 victory and lift the trophy in style.
Speaking during the closing ceremony, the Upper East Regional Football Association Women’s Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Clemecia Anyana advised the young girls to remain disciplined and take their education seriously, stressing that football and education must go hand in hand.
She also expressed gratitude to FIFA and Ghana Football Association for introducing the initiative, noting that the competition provides young girls with valuable playing time and opportunities to develop their football talents while pursuing their dreams.
As champions, Bolga Sharp Arrows received medals, a trophy, and a set of jerseys. Runners-up Bolga All Stars were also presented with medals and bibs, while all participating teams received two footballs each.

Congratulations to Bolga Sharp Arrows Ladies for winning the 2025/2026 Upper East Region Women's Division One League.

The team played a coronation match against the GFA Elite Ladies Team at the Kurt Okraku Technical Center.

This is their second successive win of the league.

The team will represent the region in this year's Zonal Championships playoff.

They were given a Trophy, Medals and a cash of Ghc 3000 by the Regional Football Association to aid in their Preparation towards the Women's Zonal Championships Playoff.

Berekum City Football club were this afternoon coronated for winning the Upper East Region Football Association Second Division League.

They played a coronation match against Sirigu Super Stars at the Kurt Okraku Technical Center, winning 5 : 0

The team received a trophy, medals and a cash of Ghc 4000 to help them prepare for the National Division One League.

The former Division One League Side beat former Division One League Sides, Paga Crocodile Stars, Bongo Beo Samba Stars , Bolga Soccer Masters Fc Ltd , Zorkor United whiles losing to Navrongo Liberty Stars to nicked the sole ticket for Division One League football from the Upper East Region.

They ended Top of the Middle League with 12 points to finished as winners

We wish them all the best of luck in the 2026/2027 Access Bank Division One League.

Congratulations to Berekum City for emerging as Champions of the Upper East Region Second Division League, 2025/2026 Season.

They will play in the 2026/2027 Access Bank Division One League.

The final matches of the Upper East Region Second Division Middle League came off the weekends with Berekum City FC cruising to a 3:0 over Bolga Soccer Masters to secure the National Division One League Slot for next Season.

Zorkor United Sporting Club and Navrongo Liberty Stars joined Berekum City and Bolga Soccer Masters as the teams to represent Upper East Region in the MTN FA Cup next season.
