Beau Sejour Swim School is currently the only Swim 21 accredited swimming lesson provider in Guernsey. The Swim School’s team of ASA qualified teachers have a wealth of experience in teaching swimming and are passionate about the sport. We believe that swimming is a life skill that everyone should have! The ability to swim well is one of the most valuable skills you can acquire. Not only can it be a life saver in an emergency but it is also great fun and an excellent way to keep fit.

We're pleased to confirm that we will reopen as normal tomorrow, Monday 21st September, from 6:30am.

The Centre's water system has been thoroughly disinfected to ensure that it has been completely treated, overseen throughout by subject matter experts. As an additional precaution, filters have now also been installed across the site, and visitors may notice upgrades to showers and taps, which have been fitted to accommodate this new system.

A small number of facilities are still going through these upgrade works and will be unavailable. These have been safely isolated and are clearly signposted, and it is anticipated that they will be brought back into use across this coming week.

A huge thank you to all the teams, staff members and contractors who have gone above and beyond this week to return the Centre to use. A special mention goes to Guernsey Post for their support in getting the filters off the boat and to the team as soon as they arrived in the island.

And finally, thank you to the Beau Sejour community for the understanding and support.

The Beau Sejour team looks forward to welcoming you back, with absolute reassurance that it is safe to do so.

Routine testing at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre has detected Legionella bacteria in the water system, which can occasionally cause Legionnaires' Disease.

As a precaution, Beau Sejour Leisure Centre has been closed with immediate effect today, and throughout tomorrow, Wednesday 16th September.
Public Health has confirmed that they do not currently know of any cases of Legionnaire's Disease in the community.

With lots of our Pre-school children moving on to “big school” this week; we have some space now for Preschool children aged from 3 years to school age in our Preschool Little Paddler classes.
They are held on Tuesday mornings and afternoons, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.
The children attend independently in small groups of no more than 5 children, with a teacher in the water and another on poolside. We follow the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway, with the little ones rewarded for their efforts with Swim England badges and certificates.
We are very proud that some of our Pre school swimmers last term achieved up to their 50m distance award unaided!

All registration fees should now have been paid to confirm you/your child’s place. If you have not yet done this, please do so straight away via the Portal.

Swim School kit - swim suits and caps are available at the office - we do like the children to wear our smart uniform.

We are already seeing many of you have done lots of swimming in the holidays and we always notice how much you grow during the break - so we will see some super swimming on your return!

Ross has been recognised for his exceptional ability to tailor lessons to each swimmer's individual needs, while building positive and lasting relationships with both children and their families.

A valued member of the Beau Sejour Swim School for the past seven years, Ross teaches swimmers of all abilities, from complete beginners taking their first strokes to those progressing towards competitive swimming.

Swim School Registrations for the Autumn Term are now on the Portal for you to make payment to confirm your place.

Unfortunately, while the usual email has been sent, some are being blocked by certain providers - Hotmail, Gmail, Outlook but possibly others.

We are working hard to sort this issue and apologise for any inconvenience, which is out of our control.

In the meantime, please don’t worry, your courses are being held. Just log into the portal to view your course details and click ‘PAY’ to complete your registration.

Don’t forget to check we have two up-to-date contact numbers and any relevant medical info - this must be up to date. 😊

Unfortunately we have to be the bearer of bad news again. ☹️

Both the main pool and small pool will need to remain closed for the rest of today (Thursday 30 July). Both pools will re-open at different times tomorrow (Friday 31 July):

- The small pool will open at 8am until 12noon, and then from 12.30pm onwards;
- The main pool will open from 2pm.

We really do appreciate your patience and apologise for the inconvenience
