We're excited to host a Fundraising Quiz Night on Wednesday 16th September 2026 at the Hampshire Lodge, in aid of supporting our Island Games Team for 2027!

The hall was buzzing today as we hosted our first Summer Fun Tournament for our beginners and improvers!

Congratulations to all players who played with dignity and respect for all. You can all be very proud!

For lots of our juniors this was their first taste of a tournament. We look forward to welcoming them to many more!

A massive thank you to our team of super volunteers who manned the cake sale, pre-loved kit sale, canteen, and spent time scoring matches for us! A real team effort 💪🏻

Aside from our dedicated Junior Squad Glow Badminton sessions (see previous post), we're also opening up additional time slots for ANYONE who would like to get involved and enjoy badminton under the UV lights!

Whether you're a regular player or just looking to try something different with some friends, come along and experience the fun of glow badminton.

A reminder to all members that the GBA AGM takes place tonight at 7pm at the halls.

Quick reminder to any junior players who attend St Michael’s Club, squad 1 and squad 2 to get your summer fun tournament entries in this coming week. Entries close on Friday. The tournament is the following weekend.

Also remember to wash and donate any pre-loved sports kit that you’ve grown out of for our preloved sale!

Last weekend, the Guernsey Vets travelled to Jersey to take on a strong home side made up of both youth and experience. Our squad consisted of 10 men and 6 women, while Jersey fielded 14 men and 2 women, with matches played across two groups.

The day featured some highly competitive and closely contested badminton matches, with great sportsmanship and plenty of quality play on display. After an exciting series of games, Guernsey emerged victorious with a 23-17 win, successfully retaining the Vets Cup.

A fantastic day of vets badminton and a great team effort from everyone involved. Well done to all players who represented Guernsey!
