Sarnian Roofing Men’s Division 🥎

The Guernsey Ladies have made local softball history! 🥎💪🏼
For the first time ever, an all-ladies team has recorded a win against an all-male team in the Sarnian Roofing Men’s League🏆

It was a game that had absolutely everything - Grand slams, double plays, home runs, strikeouts… you name it 🔥

Now in their second season competing in the Men’s League, the Guernsey Ladies have come close before, but Monday night was when they finally got their long-awaited win.

Facing the Juggernaughts in their final game of the season, the ladies came out all guns blazing. After shutting out their opponents in three of the seven innings, they produced a crucial grand slam in the top of the 7th to take a two-run lead 🙌🏼

Then came the moment that sealed it. An outfield catch and throw to 3rd base for the tag completed a huge double play, before a routine pitcher to 1st base play secured the third and final out of the game.

It’s been a long time coming but the Guernsey Ladies delivered when it mattered most. Congratulations ladies, what a moment! 👏🏼🖤

Saturday’s Sarnian Roofing Division 1 & 2 results 🥎

In the first of the Sarnian Roofing Division 2 playoff/placement style games, Misfits come away with the win versus Outlaws in the 1st v 2nd game, and sadly Pythons were led to forfeit versus Pirates due to an unfortunate injury in the 4th v 5th game 🥎

Sarnian Roofing Division 1 results 🥎

NE Electric Rookies have made it three Division 1 KO wins in a row 🏆 Congratulations! 🥳

They overcame Aspida Cobras in the quarter final and then took on Manor Farm Foods Donkeys in the semi final, before facing Tomahawks in the final.

It was a closely contested game and a great one for the spectators to watch, lots of action and ended with Rookies taking home the win by a singular run! 😮‍💨
