Four members of Identity Unknown Volleyball Club (IUVC) recently travelled to Tortola, British Virgin Islands, as part of the Grenada Senior Men’s National Team for the ECVA Senior Men’s Championship:

We also proudly acknowledge Nikel Nj John, who travelled with Grenada’s Senior Women’s National Team as a coach. 👏🏾

The Grenada Senior Men’s Team put up a strong performance throughout the competition, competing against some of the best teams in the region and finishing 5th overall. 🇬🇩💪🏾

As IUVC, we are especially proud to have four of our members selected to represent Grenada on the same national team. It speaks to the talent, dedication, and commitment of our players and the continued work being done within our club.

A special congratulations goes to IUVC Captain Darron Oxford, who also had the honour of serving as Captain of the Grenada Senior Men’s National Team. Darron delivered an outstanding tournament, finishing 2nd Best Attacker and 2nd Best Scorer. 🔥🏐

Another major highlight was Shevon Gludd, who finished 2nd Best Receiver and was also awarded Best Digger of the competition. 🏆

While 5th place may not have been the final result the team hoped for, the performance, experience, and individual achievements are certainly worth celebrating. These moments are a reminder of what hard work, dedication, teamwork, and a genuine love for the sport can produce.

IUVC is proud of our members and their contribution to Team Grenada, and we remain committed to developing our players and contributing to the continued growth of volleyball.

A huge congratulations to the Women’s Team on securing 1st place in the female division at the Eastern Caribbean Beach Volleyball Championship. An outstanding achievement and a proud moment for Grenadian volleyball. 🇬🇩🏆

We also recognize the efforts of our guys, Jonell Phillip and Darron Oxford, who represented Grenada with determination and heart. Competing on the regional stage is no small feat, and we’re proud of the fight and commitment they showed on the sand. 💪🏾🔥

Our Men’s Team recently competed in the St. Andrew’s Volleyball League, showing up in full force every Sunday at the St. Joseph’s Convent Court, St. Andrew’s. 🏐🔥

After weeks of intense competition, we secured our place in the Finals, where we faced BSC1 in a battle for the championship title.

The Finals were played this past weekend on March 7th, and what a match it was. Both teams fought relentlessly from start to finish in a true display of competitive volleyball. Our male team gave it their all on the court and, after an intense battle, secured 2nd place overall — a result we are incredibly proud of.

This team showed resilience, determination, and heart throughout the tournament. Finishing as Finalists is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our players.

Rest assured, this is only the beginning. We’ll be back at the next tournament bigger, better, and stronger. 💪🏾🔥
