The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) advises the public that work is currently underway along the Point Salines corridor, from the Airport Bypass Road to the CARICOM Roundabout, as part of the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Fund (UKCIF) Water Supply Expansion Project.
As a result of these works, intermittent lane restrictions and traffic delays may be experienced. We expect the completion of works on Monday, July 13th, 2026.
Motorists travelling to the Maurice Bishop International Airport are strongly encouraged to allow adequate travel time to ensure they arrive in time for their scheduled flights.
NAWASA encourages all road users to exercise caution, obey all traffic signs and the directions of traffic personnel, and drive with care while passing through the work zone.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank the public for their patience and cooperation as we continue to improve Grenada's water infrastructure.

A broken 12-inch water main has interrupted the water supply to consumers from Brooklyn through to the entire Town of St. George.
Restoration is anticipated by 4:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 7th, 2026.
Affected consumers are encouraged to utilize their stored supply.
Every effort will be made to restore service within the scheduled timeframe; however, supply may return gradually as the system recharges, with customers in higher elevations possibly experiencing a delay of up to two hours.
Customers are also advised that temporary discoloration or turbidity is possible as normal pressure returns and sediments within the pipelines become disturbed.
NAWASA apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding as we continue working to improve service delivery.

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) wishes to advise the general public that major concrete pouring works will be undertaken at the Moliniere Reservoir Site on Friday, July 3, 2026, as part of the Southern St. George Water Supply Expansion Project (SSGWEP) โ Lot 1.
The works are a critical component of the ongoing construction of the new reservoir and will require the continuous movement of ready-mix concrete trucks to and from the project site.
As a result, motorists and road users can expect temporary traffic delays in the Moliniere area between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
To ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and construction personnel, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) will be on site providing traffic management assistance throughout the operation.
NAWASA encourages all road users to:
โข Exercise caution when travelling through the area.
โข Follow the directions of police officers and traffic personnel.
โข Allow additional travel time where possible.
โข Consider using alternative routes if convenient.
These works form part of the UK Caribbean Infrastructure Fund (UKCIF)-funded Southern St. George Water Supply Expansion Project, which will significantly strengthen Grenada's water infrastructure and improve the reliability and resilience of the water supply system for thousands of customers.
NAWASA sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience these temporary traffic disruptions may cause and thanks the public for its patience, understanding, and continued cooperation as we work to deliver this important national infrastructure project.
