Our women welcomed Clydach up to our first home game of the season and the sun decided to turn up too - absolute bonus! 😍

From the very first whistle? PROPER BATTLE MODE ACTIVATED 🔥

Clydach struck first 💜 1–0 down inside 10 mins… no panic!

Then, a little gift from Clydach at 35’ 😉 - own goal = level pe***ng! 1–1 at half time ✅

Coaches had a quiet word, sorted the plan, and we came out for the 2nd half with unfinished business written all over our faces 😤

⏱️ 79th min - TALIA DELIVERS! 💥⚽ 2–1!
⏱️ 84th min - Clydach weren’t having it! Came right back at us, 2–2! Game ON! 🤯

⏱️ 87th min - chef’s kiss perfection ✨ Seren → Talia → BACK OF THE NET! ⚽🔥 3–2! That’s how you finish a thriller! 😎

Absolute cracker of a game, brilliant football from BOTH teams! Can’t wait for the rematch! 🙌

We spent all morning debating: bikinis 👙 or raincoats 🧥?! Sun → rain → sun again in 10 minutes flat! The sky couldn't make up its mind, so neither could we! 🤷‍♀️

But forget the weather, FOOTBALL’S THE REAL WINNER TODAY! ⚽✨

✅ U9s - Smashing goals like it’s their job! 💥⚽ Absolutely unstoppable little superstars! 🌟

✅ U10s - Brilliant performance at Ammanford, kept that momentum rolling perfectly! Great shift from everyone! 💪🔥

✅ U12s - It was Talycopa that came to visit on the 3G for a cracking friendly! Proper battle, plenty of minutes in the legs - exactly what friendlies are for! 😄

✅ U14s - Sandfields postponed so no match today 🛌! Official rest & recharge mode activated, totally earned! 😂

✅ U16s - Mumbles came to play and we had a fantastic, tight game! Ended all square, lovely football from both sides, a draw was fair on the day! ✨

What a wonderful feeling, some of our ladies are absolutely bursting to begin this journey, and it was lovely to meet with everyone yesterday! Its great to be surrounded by people who all share that same desire to make a real difference. Whether it’s lending a gentle ear, sharing kind words, or walking alongside someone to guide the way forward, every bit matters so much. We’re already looking forward with such warmth to our next session together 💫

⚽💙 WHEN A TEAM ASKS, “HOW CAN WE HELP?”
We couldn’t resist this lovely photo opportunity last night.
These brilliant women from Ystradgynlais Football Club came to BloomSpace because they wanted to do more. They already proudly carry The BloomSpace Foundation on their shirts, but following the devastating impact that su***de has had across our communities, they approached us and asked a much more important question:
“How can we help?”
One of the answers was training.
The girls have now joined our Mental Health First Aid programme, beginning a journey over the coming months towards a qualification in Mental Health First Aid.
This isn’t simply an awareness session or a one-off evening. It’s about equipping people with real knowledge and skills to recognise when someone may be struggling, feel confident starting difficult conversations and understand how to guide someone towards appropriate support.
We can’t pretend training alone will solve the challenges our communities face. But imagine a community with more people who know what to look for, aren’t afraid to ask the question and know what to do next.
That’s a community worth building. 💙
A huge thank you to Ystradgynlais Football Club for supporting BloomSpace both on and off the pitch, and to everyone who joined us for what was an incredible start to the programme.
They asked how they could help.
Then they showed up to learn how.
And we’re incredibly glad they did!!!
