🎓🎾 Good luck to all our players starting university this week!

It’s always a really sad time for the coaches at Ace Tennis Coaching when such a lovely batch of players move on to the next chapter.

Many of the above have been with us since they were really small, so seeing them grow into the young adults they are today is incredibly special. We’re very proud of every single one of you.

Good luck guys, have the very best time, enjoy every minute and, most importantly, make sure you get yourselves along to those university tennis trials! 🎾🤣

You’ll always be welcome back on court with us during the holidays. 🎾💪

🎾 CWMDONKIN PARK TENNIS IS BACK THIS SUNDAY! 🎾

We’re back at Cwmdonkin Park with a brand-new 10-week tennis programme, starting Sunday 13th September! 🙌

There are plenty of spaces available, so whether you’re completely new to tennis, looking to get your child involved, or simply want to get back on court — we’ve got something for everyone! 🎾

🔴 9:00am – Mini Red / Orange Ball Tennis
👧 Ages 6–9 — fun, energetic sessions building skills, confidence and a love of tennis.

👨‍👩‍👧 10:00am – Barclays Free Park Tennis
🎾 COMPLETELY FREE! A relaxed, family-friendly session. No experience needed — just turn up and give tennis a go!

🎾 11:00am – Adult Beginner / Improver
Perfect if you’re new to tennis or looking to develop your game.

🔥 12:00pm – Adult Intermediate
For players wanting to improve, get more match play and enjoy regular time on court.

⚡ 1:00–2:00pm – Teen Tennis
A fun and energetic session for teenagers to develop their tennis and enjoy playing with others.

ADULT TENNIS = NO BIG COMMITMENT! 🙌

Our adult sessions are pay-and-play, so there’s no need to commit to a full coaching course. Come along, meet new people, get active and enjoy your tennis!

After weeks of incredible matches, our 2026 Club Championships come down to one HUGE day of finals.

The standard of tennis on show is going to be incredible. We genuinely believe this will be the highest level of tennis we’ve ever seen on Finals Day, with some of the best players in the club battling it out for those much-coveted trophies. 🏆

🎾 James O’Brien – New Career Move

We would like to wish James O’Brien all the very best as he takes the next step in his career, and thank him for all his hard work and commitment to Ace Tennis Coaching over the years. 👏

James’s new career move means we will sadly lose him from our coaching programme, which is a real shame. He will be missed by so many of our players and parents who have enjoyed having James on court over the years.

The good news is that James won’t be disappearing completely! He’ll still be around the club, playing for our teams and hopefully helping us out with the odd coaching session when needed. So, you’ll still see plenty of him around the place. 🎾

Head Coach David Williams:
“I’m really sad to see James move on. He’s been with us since the age of 6 or 7, so he’s literally come all the way through our programme. He started coaching with us at just 16 and has developed massively over the years.

“James has matured into a lovely young man and it’s been brilliant to watch his journey, both as a player and as a coach.

“His coaching has developed so much over the years, but what has always stood out to me is his nurturing personality and patience with players. He has a real ability to make the young and old people feel comfortable, supported and confident on court.

“We’re going to miss having him as part of the coaching team, but we’re incredibly proud of him and wish him every success in his new career. We’re delighted that he’ll still be part of the club and look forward to seeing him on court.”
