Pre Season friendly for our York & District School Boy U14's team against Boro Rangers U14's.

The lads worked tirelessly and competed brilliantly against some strong, physical opposition. They showed great character, never stopped battling, and matched their opponents with determination and resilience.

It was another positive performance that highlighted their progress and team spirit, especially within a pre-season fixture.

U13 Season 2026/27 trial update
The coaches would like to thank all parents for attending and supporting the trial process. Your encouragement and commitment are greatly appreciated.

A huge well done also goes to all of the players for giving 100% effort on the night — the quality, attitude, and standard of play on display was fantastic to see.

For those players who are not successful this time, please keep going, stay positive, and continue to build on the hard work and progress you showed during the trials. This is all part of your development journey, and the effort you put in will continue to benefit you moving forward.

Tameside SB 2 - 1 York SB

Is this an end of season game for the U12s or a preseason friendly for the U13s 🤔

Either way a very close game on Saturday with Tameside. An even contest throughout with Tameside getting a winner 2 minutes from time when a draw would have been a fairer result

The quality, attitude, and standard of play on display in trial 1 was fantastic to see and made selecting players trial 2 incredibly difficult.

On this basis I would like the following players to attend Trial 2 at York College Wednesday 10th June 6-7pm, where a squad for the upcoming season will be selected

Next seasons U13 team is looking for a shirt sponsor for 2 seasons.

Last season the team played 30 games in the Yorkshire league, the National Cup or in friendlies across the North of England.

*****U11 Season 2026/27 trial update*****

The following players have been selected as a handover to the new U11 coaches for the 2026/27 season. We will play two pre-season friendlies against district opposition in June / July and the final squad will be announced. Parents please email expressions of interest for running the team – particularly if you run a grassroots team and have your FA DBS.

The last word to all the players. It was a pleasure to meet you all – you are a credit to your schools. Good luck for the season and enjoy your football.
