Exciting news! We are delighted that Competition Enterprise 2026 will take place at York Gliding Centre, Rufforth from the 8th to 15th August. The format of this competition is very different to the norm - check out the website: https://www.compenterprise.uk/

Not a classic day weather-wise but it turned out to be a great day nontheless. Congratulations to Ed Robinson for converting into the Elfe today (and for a flawless take off and landing to boot!). Also congrats to Richard Waddington and Andy Carden for finally getting to fly their DG300 and to Calvin Lepard who was cleared to fly the Junior. A day of firsts!

Delighted to say that great progress has been made on the refurbishment of our new Eurofox tug plane, and it is now looking very smart indeed! There still remains plenty to be done in terms of testing and certification but we remain hopeful of having this in action before too long. A huge thank you to all of the workshop members who have put an incredibe amount of time and effort into this!

Probably the best soaring day of the season so far. A cold northerly air flow and bright sunshine meant a cloudbase of over 5,000' and particularly booming thermals. Lots of duration flights and some very respectable cross country forays. A particular mention goes to Josh Emsley who managed nearly two hours on only his third flight in his new glider (affectionately known as 'Rhubarb and Custard'). Great day - well done all!
