Match Report Saturday 4th July: Stockton&Hopgrove 2nd XI vs Malton & Old Malton 4th XI.
After loosing the toss Stockton were asked to bat.
Stockton looked to be in real trouble as they fell to 38-7 from 13 overs! However Steve Wood 24(64) and Glynn Botteril 36(71) managed provide a bit of fight back and pushed Stockton up to 144 All Out. The pick of Maltons bowlers B Mureverwi 10-39-3
Even with 2 early wickets for Stockton Malton managed to chase down the total within 22 overs with M Kendrew making 79 not out and C Palmer 47 not out.
A tough loss but we go again next week!

Match Report Saturday 4th July. Easingwold 3rd XI vs Stockton&Hopgrove 1st XI

Easingwold 102 All out
Stockton go top of the table for the first time this season with a strong performance over bottom side Easingwold.
Having won the toss and deciding to bat Stockton looked to dominate with bat. Although Easingwold would pick up regular wickets the innings was anchored by Dan Durkin with better than a run a ball Hundred finishing 109(100) while been supported by Tom Binns 36(31) and Rich Kerrison 27(31) Stockton managed to post 274 All out. With S Rowbottom been the pick of the bowlers for Easingwold 10-53-3.
With a large total to chase it was always going to be tough for Easingwold to get close to the total. With a strong all round bowling performance from everyone with Kasun Wijesinghe been the standout with figures of 7-3-21-4 wickets Easingwold were bowled out for 102 with Stockton winning by 172 runs.

Match Report S&HCC 2nd XI vs Wheldrake 2nd XI
A tough afternoon fore the seconds as they fell to a 7 wicket defeat at home to Wheldrake.
After been put into bat Stockton look to bat positively and put on a big total. Stockton started brightly and capitalised on dropped chances with Reagan Smallwood 58(42) making his maiden 50 for the club! But regular wickets throughout the innings ment the 2s were all out for 169 in 30 overs.
Wheldrake made sure to make quick work of knocking the total off with T Webster making 72 not out reaching their target in 25 overs with 7 wickets to spare!
A tough weekend but we go again next week!

Match report for Stockton 1sts Saturday 20th June.
Stockton close the gap on the top 2!
The firsts took a short away trip to sheriff Hutton Bridge CC 3rds who currently sit top of div 3 of the YPLN.
Having lost the toss Stockton were put into bat. Looking to put pressure on bridge Stockton looked to put on a good total, with 3 batsmen passing 50. Tom Binns and Kasun Wijesinghe making 61 and Dan Durkin making 60 Stockton managed to post 254/7 off their 40 overs.
Sheriff Hutton looking to prove why they were top of the league managed to push Stockton all the way while they were batting with R Reynolds making 147! But ultimately falling 22 runs short of the target with Rich Kerrison bowling 10-58-3.
A great win and well earned 10 points!

Saturday 6th June 2nd XI match report:
Beckwithshaw 267-4 (40)
Stockton&Hopgrove Cc 157 all out (35.3)
A tough weekend for the seconds as they traveled to a tough Beckwithshaw team.
On a rainy afternoon Stockton won the toss and decided to have a bowl looking to make use of the wet conditions.
Beckwithshaw however looked to make a strong start with an opening partnership of 159 capitalising on missed opportunities for wickets.
With a large score looking likely and an impressive 143(102) from 18 year old Ben Eckard Stockton dug in with a few quick wickets from Dave Helsdon 2-28-6 in the back end of the innings to stem the flow of runs, beckwithshaw finished their innings 267-4
Stockton looked to start positively with Brad wood 28 (43) and Savio Braganza 26 (25) but constant wickets throughout proved too much for the Stockton line up who finished 157 all out with beckwithshaw winning by 110 runs.
