Caught in the Act is our way of recognising and celebrating the amazing members of our team who go above and beyond. Parents can nominate a member of staff who has made a real difference to their family's experience, and each winner is chosen from the wonderful feedback we receive.

This time, Hannah has been recognised for the fantastic comments shared by parents about the care, support and encouragement she brings to every lesson. Although Hannah is one of our Team Leaders, she's never too busy to make a positive impact on the swimmers and families she works with—and we're delighted to celebrate her hard work.

From icy Antarctica to tropical coral reefs, magical castles and the Wild West, swimmers will travel to a new destination each day, completing exciting games and challenges while continuing to build confidence, improve technique and develop essential swimming skills.

Keep your child's swimming progress moving throughout the summer with our August Crash Courses, returning to New Earswick Pool for Stages 1–7

This year, every lesson becomes part of Captain Fin's World Swim Adventure. Swimmers will travel across seven exciting continents, exploring icy Antarctica, African safaris, jungle adventures, magical castles, coral reefs and even the Wild West, all while building confidence and developing their swimming skills through fun, games-based activities.

Every child will receive their very own 'Adventure Passport', collecting a new stamp after each destination they visit alongside Captain Fin. It's a fun way to celebrate their journey through the week while keeping them motivated every step of the way.

Although the adventure theme brings each lesson to life, the focus remains exactly the same: helping children improve their confidence, technique and water safety through consecutive lessons that maintain momentum over the summer holidays.

We are excited to announce that Aqua Festival 2026 is back, and this year we are hoping to make it better and better than before!

Join us for our very own Poolside Team Olympics - a fun and exciting event where swimmers can take part in races, games and team challenges. It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate their swimming journey, boost their confidence and enjoy a friendly and supportive atmosphere with their fellow swimmers.

There may even be a few prizes up for grabs along the way!

This year, all swimmers will be allocated to one of our Under the Sea themed character teams, earning points for their team throughout the event. Will your swimmer be part of the winning team and help lead them to victory?

This summer, we're inviting swimmers to join Captain Fin on an exciting journey across the globe as part of our August Crash Courses at New Earswick Pool.

From the frozen waters of Antarctica to the sunny beaches of Oceania, each lesson will transport swimmers to a new continent packed with themed games, challenges, adventures and swimming activities designed to keep learning fun and engaging.

As they travel the world with Captain Fin, every swimmer will receive their very own adventure passport, collecting stamps along the way as they complete each destination on their expedition.

While they'll be having an amazing time exploring jungles, deserts, castles and coral reefs, they'll also be building confidence, developing technique and continuing their swimming progress throughout the summer holidays.
