Friends of New Earswick Swimming Pool manage the New Earswick Swimming Pool.
FoNESP formed in October 2017 in response to the news that the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust were going to close New Earswick Pool. After a successful and well supported campaign, FoNESP took over the running of the pool on 1st January 2019, signing a 25 year lease. Sweaty body alert!!
With this hot weather it means we have lots of sweaty bodies entering the pool with deodorants, sun creams, after sun etc. That's bad news for pool water quality.
But there's something that each swimmer can do to help. If your visiting the pool then remember our rule....⬇️

Floating sound baths come to New Earswick pool!
We are delighted to welcome York Reiki who will be hosting a relaxing sound bath session at the pool on Saturday 4 July 7.15pm.
Lie back on an air mattress. Pull on your eye mask. And let the rest of the world and everything in it wait.
For one hour, crystal singing bowls and a gong wash live sound through the room while Reiki healing moves quietly through your body. You're not guiding it. You're not managing it. You're just floating and it's doing the work you've been too tired to do yourself.
This is for the ones running on empty. The ones who can't switch off. The ones who keep meaning to rest and never quite get there.
