🚗 CLASSIC CARS ARE BACK AT ALLERTHORPE! 🚗

They’re back! We are thrilled to welcome back a stunning display of around 12 classic vintage cars this weekend.

They will be parked up on the grass right by the lake, making for the perfect lakeside view while you enjoy your walk, coffee, or bite to eat!

🗓 When: Sunday, 6th September

⏰ Time: From 12:00 PM

📍 Where: On the grass by the lake, Allerthorpe Lakeland Park

Come down, take a walk around the water, admire these beauties, and snap a few pictures.

📌 Individual Entry Fee is £20. Medals to top 3 finishers in each age category.

🌹 This event is run by the Yorkshire Biathle Club and is the 'Biathle of the Roses', a competition between Yorkshire and Lancashire, but is open to all 😊

And that’s a wrap on our charity swim evening photos! 🌅✨ We’ve just received an update from event organiser Will, and the official final total raised is a staggering £6,717! 🎉

The real star of the night spent most of the evening masterfully dodging the camera—but we managed to snap a couple of rare shots of him! 📸🕵️‍♂️

Will’s dedication to raising funds and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association brought the Allerthorpe team, and community, together for such an incredible cause. A massive thank you to everyone who swam, cheered, baked, volunteered, and donated to make this possible. 💙

Wills Story:

'I am raising money for the MND Association because of my Dad’s recent diagnosis.

Although the money raised won’t be able to help him fight this battle, it can help cure those in the future who may receive this horrible diagnosis.

A selfless, humorous, caring and beautiful man who loves his family above all is my hero. Anything I can do to raise funds is my main goal.'

A massive shoutout to a familiar face! 🎧🎶

A huge thank you to Craig for making a return to Allerthorpe on Saturday. As our former Watersports Manager, it was absolutely fantastic to welcome him back to the lake! He kept the great vibes going all evening as DJ, entertaining the crowds and keeping the energy high for our swimmers.

Brilliant to have you back on the decks, Craig! 🙌✨

A sea of bright swim caps and colourful tow floats out on the water! 🏊‍♀️ bright pinks, neon greens, high-vis yellow, and brilliant oranges lit up the lake on Saturday. Can you spot yourself out there? 📸✨

Whether taking on the full mile (4 laps of the lake) or dipping in for a quick splash to show support, the distance was only a small part of the evening. The real goal was raising awareness, supporting one another, and making a difference together! 💙
