A lovely surprise trip down memory lane/floorboards this weekend! ⬇️

A Saturday morning visit to purchase this gorgeous Genesis Bicycles Tour de Fer 30 by this splendid gent, Ioan-Radu.

He and his brother Cezar were the stalwart hard-grafting craftsmen who transformed our upstairs floor from a glued-underlay horror back into its former glory that we love today.

Almost exactly 11 years ago those 2 guys put in some long shifts of tough unpleasant work without complaint to reveal the beautiful 140 year old floor.

What a lovely surprise for us to meet him again on a busy Saturday!
