A little follow-up to my last post about the challenges of running an independent business in Wymondham ❤️
I honestly wasn’t sure whether I should talk so openly about the pressures and difficulties of running a small independent business, but I’m so glad I did.
The response has been absolutely amazing. So many of you have taken the time to message me, speak to me in the shop and share your own experiences. A few people have even told me that the post made them stop and think about where they shop and the difference their choices can make.
We’ve also noticed an increase in people coming into the shop since the post, which means so much to us. Every visit, purchase, recommendation and even a quick chat makes a real difference to a small independent business like ours. 🥰
It’s easy to forget that every pound spent locally helps keep our town centre alive and vibrant. We really can all make a difference to Wymondham by supporting the independent businesses that make our town what it is. ❤️
And we’re not standing still! We’ve started our pre-loved bike range, and we’re constantly thinking about new ideas, services and projects that we can bring to the shop and the local community.
There are plenty more ideas in the pipeline… 🚲
So, from both of us, thank you. Thank you for listening, understanding, supporting and, most importantly, shopping local.
