I was 30 when I had miss P but I still didn’t feel old enough to be a parent or have the responsibility of looking after a child!

Parenthood is a big learning curve and it’s ok to admit that we don’t know everything and we don’t always get it right

“I’ve done first aid training a few years ago” and it’s brilliant that you did! But here’s the thing: guidance changes.

What was best practice when you took your course might not be what’s recommended now (the way we treat burns and febrile seizures are good examples, some of the “old” advice has actually been proven to do more harm than good).

Also, there has been recent updates to the paediatric CPR protocol.
