A quick tip on choke tube and choke thread maintenance, which is sometimes overlooked. A good idea to do every 200-300 cartridges.
1. Remove the chokes and clean off old grease and carbon built up on it with paper towels.
2. Use a wool mop cleaning brush, with paper toweling wrapped around it. This cleans out old residue from the choke thread inside the barrel.
(2. Extra: For a more intensive clean, use a brass brush and rotate in to the threads for a deeper clean, then follow up with the wool mop brush and paper toweling)
3. Apply fresh grease to your clean choke and insert back into the barrel. If you're not using the barrels, back the choke up by half a turn, but remember to tighten it back up before using it again.
As simple as that and it will keep your chokes and threads in good order.

Production of the Technical Engravings from Krieghoff is heavily involved and very time consuming. The results are amazing, exciting and definitely something different. It's fascinating to see patterns like this, how it reacts with the light at different angles and wraps around the entire action surface.
