Senior season gets underway this Saturday with 4 of our 7 teams in pre-season friendly action ahead of the West Hockey League restarting later in the month

The sole game at home (1.30pm) sees our Men’s 1st XI host Bournemouth HC which also doubles as a Testimonial Match for Alistair Hammond. Refreshments are available so do come down, cheer the lads on and give Hammo a good send off 👍

Alistair Hammond Testimonial Match

With a recent close family bereavement and serious health issues for one of his daughters, former skipper Alistair Hammond has taken the decision to step away from hockey and spend more time with his family. This is a decision that the club and his teammates supports 💯

Hammo first played for the club at age 11 and was skipper for the Mens 1s across several stints for 6+ seasons, as well as coaching the ladies XIs for several years. With this in mind we are treating our M1s pre season game at home to Bournemouth HC on Saturday as Hammo’s testimonial match so we can give him a good send off.

We’d love to see as many of you down there (particularly former teammates) so if you are not playing elsewhere why not come down and cheer the lads on. Refreshments available 👍

Club Day yesterday was a great success with hockey (all day for all ages!) making its welcome return. The 2026/27 season is ON!
