🟡 Norfolk Coastal Trail Half Marathon

Runners-next-the-Sea, organisers of the popular annual 5-mile Beach Race at Holkham Beach, are pleased to host the Norfolk Coastal Trail Half and Full Marathons. £5.00 from every entry goes to support The East Anglian Air Ambulance. A gorgeous vision in pink 🩷, our lovely Roy was the only Worlie on the course, and what a fantastic run, well done Roy 👏👏👏:

🔵 Swim Serpentine

Swim Serpentine takes place in the stunning Serpentine Lake, nestled in the heart of Hyde Park, London. Whether you’re a first-time open water swimmer or a seasoned pro, this event offers something for everyone. Choose from four distances: half a mile, one mile, two miles, six miles. Take on a distance that suits your goals – or kickstart your journey toward the London Classics by starting in the Serpentine. Our lovely Yvonne chose a tough two mile distance - what an achievement, well done Yvonne 👏👏👏:

🔴 Waveney Triathlon

The Waveney Triathlon is a pool-based super sprint triathlon held in September. This event is as suitable for first-timers as it is for seasoned pros. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive atmosphere to welcome everyone that comes along to ensure a great time is had by all whether they be racing or spectating. The race consists of a 400m swim (16 lengths), 20km cycle ride and a 3.2km run. Well done Joe 👏👏👏:

⚫ Marriott’s Way 10K

The 10km trail race starts in Aylsham, on the Marriott’s Way itself, finishing in the picturesque marketplace in Reepham. The run is flat and mostly off road along the Marriott’s Way, perfect terrain for seasoned runners and those new to running due to the softer ground. Runners also get to see the beautiful Norfolk countryside as they run along the old railway line. A quartet of Worlies took on this event with fantastic results, well done everyone 👏👏👏:

🔵 Great North Run

63,000 incredible AJ Bell Great North Run participants ran from the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields today, which marked an incredible 45 years of the famous event, and the biggest Great North Run yet. The event is renowned for an incredible atmosphere , roaring crowd support and immense charity fundraising efforts. Our lone runner, Simon, ran for Blood Cancer UK in memory of his lovely mum, and raised over £450, which is fantastic! Well done Simon 👏👏👏:

⚫ The Lap - Lake Windermere Ultra Marathon

A beautiful 72K/47 mile fully signposted ultra marathon, on some of the most stunning and runnable trails in The Lake District. You have 24 hours to circumnavigate England’s largest and most iconic lake. Take in the magnificent views across the stunning Lake District Fells from all the best viewpoints. This is a perfect entry level ultra. Created as a gateway to allow runners and walkers to step up to 50 mile ultra distance, without the need for navigation, exposure to really bad weather, or worry about quantity of food.

🟡 Earth, Mynd & Shire

Earth, Mynd and Shire offers a variety of walking routes, which range in distance from 8.5 miles to 26 miles. But don’t let the distance fool you! All routes are challenging and offer significant levels of ascent. The landscape of Long Mynd - which is where the routes will take you through - changes as you walk. On higher ground and on a clear day, you will be able to cast your eye over Welsh mountains and valleys. By contrast, the steep slopes of Carding Mill Valley will give you dramatic scenery, as well as the chance to explore waterfalls and rocky outcrops. Every route will take you along Pole Bank, which - at 516 meters - is Long Mynd’s highest point. Our lovely Tina took on the 26 mile challenge with workmates, with 5,377 feet of elevation 😮😮! Well done Tina 👏👏👏:

🛬 Woodbridge Runway 10K

Two of our Worlies took on this running experience like no other as you take on a 5K or 10K on the historic runway at MOD Woodbridge. Are you ready to run where aircraft once landed? Suitable for all abilities and open to ages 11+, this unique charity run is perfect to take on with friends, family, colleagues, teammates – or come along and meet new people! But be warned, you run 6.2 miles, but there’s no medal at the end of it 😮!! Well done guys 👏👏👏:

🦁 Africa Alive 5K

On Saturday a group of 17 took on the Run Africa Alive 5K, a unique, flat 5km loop that takes runners directly through the zoo grounds, offering close-up views of iconic species like lions, giraffes, rhinos, and lemurs. If you ran the Banham Zoo 5K, you will now have a complete medal, if not, you will have a jigsaw piece to hang instead 🧩😁! Well done everyone 👏👏👏:

🔴 Lowestoft Scores Race

This demanding race comprises of 13 stepped and sloped scores over a course of approximately 4.75 miles and 401 steps. Last ran in 2023, it was great to see this race back after a little break, I say ‘great’, I’m not sure if the runners were thinking that at the time 😜. This is a tough race, but for the crazy ones amongst us, it’s a damn good challenge! You’re all amazing, and hardcore, well done everyone👏👏👏:

🟠 EPIC North Walsham 5K

Take part in this very popular town centre event, which takes you around the market town of North Walsham, while being supported by many local residents and supporters. Well done Cathy 👏👏👏:

🍀 Zig Zag Running Bury St Edmunds Half Marathon

A cracking day at the Suffolk Running Centre - from first-timers to a family of Clovers on the course, everyone got the job done. 176 runners across seven distances, 3,772 km covered between all runners - that’s 2,344 miles, roughly Bury St Edmunds to the edge of the Sahara! Everyone’s a winner - every finisher home with a medal and cake! Brilliant running, well done Max 👏👏👏:

🔴 Dereham 10 Mile

The 10 Mile race starts at Dereham Neatherd High School, Norwich Road, Dereham, NR20 3AX, and then heads out into beautiful countryside along quiet roads to return to school for the finish. The route is predominantly flat with some gentle ‘undulations’. This year the race is included in the popular Sportlink Grand Prix Series, making it race 12, and final race, in the 2026 series. Well done guys 👏👏👏
