💎 FULL TIME RESULT 💎

Yesterday we welcomed Clowne Rangers FC to our home ground for a proper competitive cup game, and the lads came away with a 3-2 win to put us into the next round! 🏆💎

Diamond started well and created a couple of chances, but it was Rangers who took the lead. A corner was floated into the box, the wind got hold of it and it somehow found its way into the far corner. 1-0 Rangers.

Shortly after, Diamond won a free kick just outside the box. Kyle stepped up and bent a beauty into the bottom left-hand corner! 👏 What a free kick! 1-1! 💎

Just 5 minutes after the equaliser, we took the lead. A long ball forward was controlled brilliantly by Thommo, who held off his defender before squaring it across the box to Luke, who smashed it home from the edge of the box! 🚀 Great finish! 2-1! 💎

We went into the break ahead.

Now this one definitely deserves a mention… 😮‍💨

Rangers broke forward and after taking it round our keeper, their lad had an open goal. He slotted it towards the net, but Chucky had other ideas! He threw himself across the line and somehow made an unreal goal-line clearance to keep us ahead! 😱👏 Unreal, Chucky! 💎

The visitors then found an equaliser shortly after to make it 2-2.

With around 20 minutes to go, we took the lead again! A long ball forward was kept in brilliantly by Thommo, who took on their defender and keeper before somehow squeezing the ball home from the tightest of angles! 🔥👏 Great finish, mate! 3-2! 💎

Rangers threw everything at us late on, but the boys dug in and held onto the lead to knock Division 2 Rangers out of the cup and put ourselves into the hat for the next round! 🏆💎

I’ve got to say, every single one of the lads was unreal yesterday. 💪 They battled for every second ball, worked for each other and put in a proper team performance from start to finish. Fully deserved the win! 👏💎

💎 FULL TIME RESULT - DIAMOND 6-0 SPIRE FC 💎

What a way to kick off the new season! 😍🔥

Diamond were on the front foot from the first whistle and it didn’t take long to get our noses in front. Thommo slipped Jayden through on goal and he kept his cool to slot it home. 1-0! 💎

Not long after, Chucky launched a long ball forward which Thommo brought under control brilliantly before calmly finishing. 2-0! 👌💎

The third came from a long throw into the box from Maz, which Elliott rose to nod home. 3-0! 💎

Around the half-hour mark we added another. Leon’s long ball found Jayden, who cut inside before placing it nicely into the bottom corner. 4-0! 🔥

Half time: Diamond 4-0 Spire. 💎

Then came the second half… and safe to say, things got a little interesting 😂

Shortly after the restart, a two-footed challenge on Maz sparked a bit of a reaction, with Maz seeing red and Diamond having to play the rest of the game with 10 men. 🟥

But going down to 10 didn’t stop us! 💪

A long ball sent Kyle racing towards the corner, where he somehow kept it in, beat a couple of defenders and smashed it into the bottom corner. WHAT. A. GOAL. 👏🔥 5-0!

With five minutes left, Jayden put Kyle through on goal and he calmly chipped the keeper, watching the ball find the far corner. 6-0! 💎😍

Spire tried everything they could to disrupt the game, but the lads dug in, stayed focused and saw it through to a massive 6-0 victory! 👏💎

2 goals and an assist means your CT Builders Man of the Match is JAYDEN! 🏆💎 Quality, pal! 👏

💎 FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON 💎

On Sunday we welcome FC Spire to Creswell for the opening game of the 26/27 season, at our new ground! ⚽️

We hope to see as many of you there as possible to come and support the boys! We’ve had an influx of new fans coming to support us throughout pre-season, and we hope we’ve entertained you enough to now come when it matters! 💎⚽️

26/27 SEASON FIXTURES 💎

A huge thank you to everybody who has come over to support us at our new home throughout pre-season! Your support has been brilliant, and we’re hoping to see even more of you as the games that matter begin. 💎

What better way to start the season than with our opening fixture at home! 🏠💎

Although the gaffer will be watching from afar due to his 2-game ground ban, the boys are ready to get the season underway!

We hope to see as many faces as possible down at our new home to get behind the lads and give them the support they deserve. 🖤❤️

Let’s make our new home a fortress. 💎

💎 FULL TIME RESULT 💎

2 first-half goals in our final pre-season friendly saw us finish pre-season with a 2-0 win at home to Brimington Three Horseshoes FC! 💎

A solid start from the Diamond saw us apply the pressure early on, and eventually the breakthrough came! A ball into the box gave Murds enough time and space to chest it down before smashing it home! 1-0 💎

Shortly after, we doubled our lead! I didn’t actually see this one because Beechy decided to stand on my toe with his boots on… cheers mate. 🤦‍♂️😂

Apparently it was a screamer though! Leon found himself around 30 yards from goal and decided to have a dig, smashing the ball into the roof of the net! 💎

The boys went into the break 2-0 up.

Onto the second half…

After making a few changes at half time, the second half ended goalless. Some really good performances, a few good chances created, but we couldn’t add to our tally.

Most importantly, we finish pre-season with a clean sheet! 💎🧤

This week, your CT Builders Man of the Match goes to Sam! 👏

Came on at half time and was absolutely quality at centre half. Solid, composed and didn’t put a foot wrong. Well played mate! 💎👏

That brings our pre-season to an end! No game for us over the bank holiday weekend, and then it’s time for the real stuff as the season kicks off the weekend after! 👀💎

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us throughout pre-season. We really appreciate every bit of support, whether you’ve been on the sidelines, following us online or cheering us on from afar.
