They haven’t. The photos in this video aren’t stock images. That’s our coaches, a few years back. Out of shape, low on confidence, genuinely unsure whether any of it would work for them. Same doubts you’re having about walking through our door.

Which is why nobody here is going to talk down to you about where you’re starting. We’ve had the same conversations with ourselves — the ones about not being fit enough to go to a gym yet, or waiting until January, or feeling like everyone else will know what they’re doing.

Turns out none of that was true. It just felt true at the time.

If you’re sitting on the fence right now, DM us START. No pitch, no hard sell — just a conversation about where you’re at and what a sensible first step looks like.

The hardest lift you'll ever do at ETL is walking through the door.

Everything after that is fun with friends.

Nobody's judging. Nobody's expecting you to lift a truck. Half the time we're laughing through the warm-ups.

You don't need to be fit to join. You just show up. Move your body. We handle the rest.

Real results. Real people. Actually enjoying it.

Comment TRIAL and we'll send you info on our 30-day trial.

5 things nobody tells you about starting the gym in your 40s.

The fitness industry sells 20-somethings the lies. Your body in your 40s doesn't tolerate them.

Save this. Send it to the person who's been putting off starting.

Comment TRIAL for our 30-day coached trial — built for exactly this.

"No pain, no gain" is the worst fitness advice a beginner can get.

Crawling out of a session isn't proof it was a good one. It's proof you did too much.

Soreness is a reaction — not a result. Your body responding to something new. Not a badge of a great workout.

If you're starting out, the goal is simple. Build consistency. Build confidence.

Not a session that leaves you unable to climb the stairs. Not a workout that makes you dread coming back.

Real training leaves you with enough energy for the rest of your day.

Our group sessions adapt every exercise to where you actually are — comfortable enough to keep going, hard enough to progress.

If your training makes you hate training, it's the wrong training.

Start light. Start simple. Let the habits settle.

Two types of people this morning:

1. Up at 6. Parkrun/Gym done. Currently sipping coffee like a saint.
2. Still horizontal. Questioning last night's third bottle.

Whichever you are.... we're here Tuesday.

No judgement. Ever. 🍷 or 🥑.

Some walked in having not trained in ten years. Some came back after an injury, or a pregnancy, or a stretch where life just got in the way. A couple could barely get through the warm-up without needing to stop — and that was fine, because that’s where we started them.

That’s the whole job, really. We meet you at the level you’re actually at, not the level you think you should be at. Then we make it slightly harder each week, at a pace that doesn’t scare you off.

What you’re watching isn’t a group of naturally fit people. It’s ordinary people who got coached properly and stuck around long enough for it to show.

Nervous is normal. Most people in that room felt it on day one too.

Comment KICKSTART and we’ll show you what your first few weeks would look like.

You wouldn’t learn guitar before booking guitar lessons.

But that’s exactly what half the people we speak to tell themselves before walking through our door.

“I need to get fit first.”

No. That’s what the coaching’s for.

Our whole job is to meet you exactly where you are.

Can’t squat? Box squat.
Can’t press up? Bar press-up.

Nobody gets thrown in at the deep end. You lift what you want, at your own pace, in a room you actually feel comfortable in.

You show up. We do the rest.
