Congratulations to our men's team who won back the Marsh & Quay cup in a thrilling penalty shootout at the Cumberland FA autumn cup festival last Sunday.

Last Sunday, our mixed team was in action at the Cumberland FA Autumn Championship Cup tournament.

We may not have progressed to the final, but we did put in some very spirited performances and gain some value game time ahead of the FA Walking Football regional playoff this coming Sunday over at Washington, where we play again for the chance to go back to the FA cup Finals at St George's Park.

We're continuing our new feature as we gear up to our new kit launch with the second of our "Meet our sponsors" posts.

Cumbria United harnesses this incredible sense of community, equipping local clubs with the training and resources needed to support teammates who might be struggling. They recognise that sports clubs are strong, connected families perfectly placed to look out for one another.

At Workington St Joseph's Women's Walking Football, we believe wholeheartedly in the power of sport to change lives. We recognise just how vital mental health support is in our local area, and we share Cumbria United's vision of helping our community thrive both physically and mentally. That is exactly why we felt it was so important to get involved from the very beginning.

To show our unwavering commitment to this cause, we are incredibly honoured to display the Cumbria United badge on our brand-new kit.

Super Sunday update.

Today our players from Workington St Josephs Women’s Walking Football traveled along the A66 to AFC Penrith to take part in the September round of the Over 35s "Running 6 a side" competition.

And our lasses smashed it top bins style! 🙌🏼
Unbeaten all day 💪🏼
Zero goal conceded ⛔
And finals winners !! 🏆

Results were as follows:-
Workington 2- 0 Carlisle
Workington 1 - 0 Calthwaite
Workington 0 -0 Carlisle
Workington 2-0 Calthwaite

Soccer Saturday update.......

🏆 TOURNAMENT WINNERS & FAIR PLAY AWARD! 🏆

What a day for the Cumbria Ladies at the Huddersfield Women’s Walking Football Tournament.

Playing 5-a-side with no substitutes, we had to dig deep throughout the day. We played three group games and finished top of our group before progressing through the semi-final and securing the win in the final! 🏆

We were also incredibly proud to receive the Fair Play Award for sportsmanship. It was a fantastic recognition of the attitude and spirit shown by the team throughout the tournament.

The Cumbria Ladies team consisted of three Workington St Josephs Women’s Walking Football players.
Kate Smith, Helen Watson and Katie Jones, alongside our guest players Nat Broad and Emma Parkes.

A brilliant day, an incredible team effort and a result we can all be hugely proud of! ⚽️🏆
