The 2026/27 Worcestershire Walking Football League Over 50s season is officially underway!

Week 1 delivered plenty of goals, some fantastic games and lots of competitive walking football across all five fixtures. 👏

A huge thank you to all the players, managers, referees, volunteers and supporters who helped make our opening matchday such a success.

The wait is over! Our Over 50s league season kicks off TODAY with five fantastic fixtures to get the 2026/27 Worcestershire Walking Football League campaign underway. 🏆

Player registration for Sunday’s Worcestershire Walking Football League Over 50s fixtures is now officially closed.

The teams are set, the preparations are complete, and now it’s time for the football! ⚽

The wait is almost over – Walking Football returns this Sunday! ⚽

We kick off the 2026/27 Worcestershire Walking Football League season with a full programme of Over 50s fixtures.

Four games will kick off at 2:00pm, with the remaining fixture kicking off at 3:15pm.

The 2026/27 season promises to be our biggest and best yet, and we have made some significant changes behind the scenes to make information more accessible to clubs, players and officials.

The league has moved its competition operations onto the FA Full-Time system. Fixtures, results, league tables and other competition information will now be managed centrally online.

However, the easiest way to stay completely up to date is by downloading the FA Matchday App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Through the app, you will be able to access:

* Fixtures and results
* League tables
* Venue and pitch details
* Kick-off times
* Referee assignments
* Player statistics

All of this information will be available at your fingertips throughout the season.

A reminder that all players must be registered through their club’s FA Club Portal to be eligible to play in the league.

For each Sunday fixture, the registration cut-off will be 5:00pm on the Friday immediately before the matchday. Please ensure any players you intend to use are correctly registered before this deadline.

After the summer break, we’re ready to kick off another exciting season in the Worcestershire Walking Football League, and what a way to start!

The 2026/27 campaign gets underway with a bumper Over 50s fixture list.

With new teams, familiar rivalries and another season full of competitive, enjoyable walking football ahead, we can’t wait to see everyone back out on the pitches.

We’re delighted to announce that the 2026/27 Over 50s and Over 60s fixtures are now available on the FA Full-Time system!

As part of our continued commitment to improving the league, the Worcestershire Walking Football League has now moved to a fully automated competition management system.

This means you’ll have access to:

✅ Pitch Allocations
✅ Match Officials

Everything will be available online and through the FA Matchday App, giving players, managers, officials and supporters instant access to the latest information wherever they are.

This is another significant step forward for the league as we continue to modernise and provide the best possible experience for everyone involved.

⚽🏆 WWFL AGM 2026 – Looking Ahead to a Bigger and Better Season! 🏆⚽

We held the Worcestershire Walking Football League AGM last night, with clubs and committee members coming together to reflect on another successful year and make plans for the season ahead.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing details of the various leagues that will make up the 2026/27 season.

First up is our Over 50s Premier Division…

With a mixture of established clubs and new challengers, the division promises to be as competitive as ever. We can’t wait to see the action get underway.
