Wolverhampton Wheelers CC

Well done to all that rode in the local TT events this year. For the most part the weather was good, if a little too hot and windy on some evenings. Over the 16 events that were held there were 75 competitors amounting to 276 entries. There was an increase in the number new riders, juniors and women taking part, which was fantastic to see.

Here are the results for the various categories in our league. A few people will have some silverware coming their way at our awards presentation. The hill climb is still to be contested and any riders that may be eligible for the open 25, 50, 100, 12hr, 24hr and BAR trophies, please let me have your results as soon as you can.

Many thanks to all those that helped run the league; this would not happen without your help and input. Special mentions should go to Ian Horton and Nicola Dobson for helping with the time keeping on the events and to Simon for posting the results for me to our web site.

Well done to everyone that raced tonight's event. The conditions were good for fast times as was reflected in the
number of personal bests, a great way to finish the season for many.
The overall win and fastest Wheeler was Mark Spruce with Steve White taking the overall win in the Road bike class.
A special mention should go to Harriet Cosnett coming in 2nd in the road bikes with a massive personal best.
That was the last of our league events and the final results will be published in due course.

A special shout out and well done to 💛Rosie G and Kara W 🖤two of our riders from Monday’s ladies group.

Yesterday they took on their first sportive supporting their youth riders.

Kara having never ridden on the road ever and this being Rosie’s biggest distance and elevation, they dug in and got it done!

Great to have Liv and some of our younger girls riding with us too! 🟡⚫️🟡⚫️

Many thanks to Bridgnorth CC for hosting tonight's TT. The conditions were good if a little warm with a headwind for
the return leg.
Congratulations to Tom Herbert with the overall win and as fastest road bike. Fastest wheeler was Mark Spruce with
Steve White as fastest Wheeler in the road bike classification. Congratulations also goes to Lauren Turley as fastest
lady and a personal best.
Next week is the last of our weekly time trials and will be on the K21/11 course from Halfpenny Green.
