MHFC 5 - 0 BRS FC

Our first home game today and what a day for it 😁 nice bit of rain last few days made the ground perfect πŸ‘Š

A Shakey one in front of goal for us today with a good 8-12 chances that should of been put away πŸ˜‚ shooting practice Tuesday 🫣 we kept going and eventually the gates opened for us πŸ’ͺ

Praise to BRSFC who didn't give up and some great banter and good set of guys who just needed to click, we look forward to meeting again in the season.

Castlecroft FC 4 - 2 MHFC

Very big test for the lads and a big squad of 19. A lot of chances for us but only 2 screamers were achieved!

We wish CFC all the best in their future campaign and thank them for the game.

Warstones Wonderers United FC 2 - 4 Mental Health FC

A very positive start for the lads looking fresh in the new kits and tracksuits 😎

We played some great on the deck football and was well organized from the back to the front. We had many chances within the game and WWU had a few but however 2 mistakes we made, WWU picked up on them and that's how we conceded.

We wish WWU all the best for the future and thank them for the game, we now look onto our next training session with some work to do πŸ’ͺ

Well today was officially our first training session! We have (for some reason that's not clear to us) been put into division 4 of the AFA and excited to get things started. We have Aldersley for our home pitch and in the middle of looking for a local venue for us to run from for after games.

Sponsorship, signings and kit launch to follow soon πŸ’ͺ

πŸš¨πŸ“’πŸ“£ BREAKING NEWS πŸ“£πŸ“’πŸš¨

Some are aware of what's going on and we have had many questions asked so we thought it's best to announce it 😁

This year will be our last season in the WDSFL and we have now provisionally joined the BDFL (previously AFA) playing Saturday afternoons. This was the plan when we had enough teams under the MH umbrella.

We now have Mental Health Junction FC taking our place. More news to follow with regards to training, venue and management in the near future and we thank you for your support so far and hope you carry on supporting us πŸ’ͺ

Give them a like and follow to see how they get on next season πŸ‘Œ

2025/26 season votes are in!

Goal of the season: R.Greatheads volley vs MH Harriers with a one touch finish after a great switch from K.Matthews in a 8 goal thriller that could of been more

Golden boot: K.Matthews with 16, we also see him with the most assists this season with a total of 8. Unfortunately it took towards the end of the season for K.Matthews and R.Greathead to click but let's hope we can carry on the form.into next season (not sorry about the picture πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Œ)

Managers player: M.Powell who has been standing out in the sticks this season and not only saving us in tough games but being a leader in the team. M.Powell has not only been V.C all season but even when injured been there to drag the lads up and make sure we get results

Players player: A.Ison who has gone from LB to CB and also RB and has been exceptional in defence this season and leading by example. A.Ison took the captain's armband only a couple of months into the season but the team looked up to him before this with his great leadership skills

Now for alot of people the next one they don't like but it opens the eyes to alot of players and makes them aware that someone is putting all in and coming for your spot or going above and beyond to make sure they are in that starting 11

Most improved player: A.Foster.... now he came to us a couple of months into the season and we had such a strong front 3 and even coming on it takes a while to get into the game. One game we saw some injuries and we were getting done for pace and A.Foster was asked to play LB and after this game he was so comfortable, strong and well placed into was then made the teams permanent LB. Pace, strength, defending and reading of the game made him the perfect LB and the pace to change defence into attack has been frightening for oppositions.

We hope the lads come to the end of season to collect their trophies ;) fingers crossed all stay and build on what we have achieved so far πŸ‘

Important news to follow shortly........
