Woking 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer

The first parkrun with rain in quite a while and it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits 😀🦋
5k Your Way at Woking parkrun was a great way to start the bank holiday weekend. A great, supportive community morning as we walked, ran and volunteered followed by refreshments in the Leisure Centre cafe. Thanks to all the team at Woking parkrun 🌟👏🌟

The blue flag will be flying for 5k Your Way Move Against Cancer this Saturday 29th August at Woking parkrun🌟
💙 We meet by the bandstand in Woking Park at 8:45am ready for a 9am start 🦋💙
🔷 We are a free cancer support group for anyone impacted by cancer
🔷 Walk, run, cheer, volunteer and share peer support with your local parkrun community.
🔷 Join the parkrun community afterwards for refreshments in Woking Leisure Centre cafe ☕️🫖🍪
🔷 Our support group meets regularly on the last Saturday of the month
🙌🏻 Everyone is welcome! People living with and beyond cancer, carers, friends and family including children, health care professionals and you can bring a dog on a short hand held lead 🐶

One week to go until it’s the last Saturday of the month and the blue flag will be flying at Woking parkrun 🦋 We meet at the bandstand in Woking Park at 8.45am and join in with parkrun at 9. If you have been impacted by cancer in any way; patients, carers, family, friends and colleagues do come along and join us. Walking, jogging, cheering, volunteering and chatting our way around the park.
We share refreshments with the community in the leisure centre cafe afterwards ☕️🥤

There are 55 cities in England and you may remember Adam who is running a marathon in every one of them in a year for the Move Charity? Today I joined Adam and his friend Phil for part of the Wi******er Marathon which included the climb up St Catherine’s Hill. With only three city marathons remaining Adam is so close to completing his amazing challenge and also has been fundraising and raising awareness for the charity which is part of the 5k Your Way Move Against Cancer charity I am Woking Ambassador to 🦋💙 He is an exceptional young man 👏👏🌟

The great field parkrun Dorchester today and thank you to the Weymouth 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer who came and introduced herself. I’m sorry we didn’t grab a picture together 🦋💙
