Our friends over at Downham Market Squash Courts are applying for funding to help freshen up and improve their club, and they’re asking the local squash community for feedback.

We need to have a chat about our balls… ⚫⚫

We all want to have the best game of squash possible. But if the ball is too slow or too dead for the players and conditions, rallies quickly break down. The ball drops short, barely bounces and suddenly you're spending more time picking it up than playing squash!

Dunlop has recently relaunched its Squash ball range, with a clearer progression through the different levels of the game: UNI, Game Blue, Game Red, Club and Pro.

We're big believers that if dropping down a ball gives you longer rallies and a better game, then it's probably the right ball for you.
Most of us aren't playing in professional conditions or keeping the ball as warm as the pros do. So, drop the ego and drop down a ball. 😉

Playing with a Double Yellow and finding the rallies aren't flowing? Try a Single Yellow. Even a Red Dot might give you a better game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

For many club and league players, a Single Yellow can produce a far more enjoyable and competitive game than a Double Yellow. And if two experienced players get longer, better rallies with a Red Dot, then why not?

The best ball is the one that gives you the best squash.

Next time you're on court, try a different ball. You might be surprised at the difference it makes.

Don't use a ball because you think you should. Use the ball that makes you have the best game ⚫
